Britain’s Princess Charlotte inspires lipstick

Britain's Princess Charlotte has inspired a lipstick.
The nine-month-old royal may not even be a year old yet but she has already become the "English rose" inspiration for one of Marc Jacobs' new lip crèmes.
Catherine Gore, global vice president and general manager of Marc Jacobs Beauty, told Women's Wear Daily: "We wanted to commemorate this major brand milestone by creating a custom shade of Le Marc lip crème. [It was] inspired by the deepest saturated pink tones of an English rose."
The lipstick will be sold exclusively in Harrods in the United Kingdom and retails for £24.
Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte - who is the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - recently topped Tatler magazine's list of 'people who really matter'.
Describing why she placed first, the magazine wrote: "Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana made a spectacular entrance into the public eye with an appearance on the steps of St Mary's Hospital just hours after her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, went into labour.
"The gorgeous little bundle of joy has already won us over even though we know very little about her yet, other than the important fact that she is fourth in line to the throne."

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth returns to London

Britain's Queen Elizabeth has returned to London after her Christmas holiday.
The 89-year-old royal was seen boarding a train at King's Lynn station, near her country retreat of Sandringham, yesterday morning (08.02.16) bound for London's King's Cross.
The Queen spent longer than usual at her Norfolk residence this year, which is no surprise as it is certain to be a busy 12 months for the monarch as she celebrates her ninetieth birthday.
To honour her milestone birthday this year, 25,000 lucky members of the public will join the four-day celebrations at Windsor Castle whilst the Queen's official birthday will be marked by the traditional street party in the Mall and a Thanksgiving service at St. Paul's Cathedral.
Simon Brooks-Ward, who is producing and directing the Queen's birthday celebrations, said: "We've been working hard to make this a most unique birthday celebration.
"We're especially delighted with our plans to offer an extra 5,000 people the chance to be part of the celebrations through our balloted system for tickets on The Long Walk. This will take place in the New Year."
However, on the whole, the Queen is planning to do things "gently" this year.
A source said previously: "She will not be doing less, just doing it more gently. There is a lot happening between now and July, so it is about trying to find new ways for her to work less strenuously."

Prince George’s flying ambition

Prince George wants to become an air force cadet.
The two-year-old royal hopes to follow in the footsteps of his father Prince William, who is an air ambulance pilot, and uncle Prince Harry, who was an Apache pilot with the Army Air Corps, after becoming obsessed with fighter planes.
His mother, Duchess Catherine, told cadet Lucinda Conder about George's ambition as she attended a special service to mark the 75th anniversary of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets on Sunday (07.02.16).
Ms Conder told reporters: "He is now obsessed with the air cadets and wants to join."
The cadet also revealed how thrilled she is that Catherine - known as Kate Middleton before her marriage - is involved with the RAF as a patron.
She said: "It's brilliant to have Kate involved. It's just really nice to have a female patron for us girls. Kate is passing the responsibility down the royal family. And it's also nice to have a new, refreshing, younger patron. I think she's going to bring alive the air cadets again."

Duchess Catherine launches Children’s Mental Health Week

Duchess Catherine has launched Children's Mental Health Week with a new video.
The royal has shown her support for the initiative in the clip, which shows her speaking to pupils from Salusbury Primary School in London, about the importance of being able to express their feelings.
In the clip she explained that she and her husband Prince William believe that "every child deserves to be supported through difficult times in their lives".
And Catherine - who has children Prince George, two and nine-month-old Princess Charlotte, added: "Every child deserves to grow up feeling confident that they won't fall at the first hurdle, that they cope with life's setbacks.
"This resilience - our ability to deal with stressful situations - is something we begin to learn in childhood, as we respond to each challenge and problem life presents.
"Many of us are incredibly fortunate that the issues we face in childhood are ones we can cope with and learn from. But for some children, learning to cope with life's challenges can be a struggle.
"While we cannot always change a child's circumstances, we can give them the tools to cope, and to thrive. With early support they can learn to manage their emotions and feelings and know when to seek help."
Catherine also spoke about the work of the charity Place2Be, of which she is patron.

Duchess Camilla impressed by Fergie

Duchess Camilla is impressed by Sarah Ferguson's charity work.
Camilla and her husband Prince Charles became royal presidents of the Elephant Family in 2014, a charity Sarah has been a patron of since 2008, and although she was absent from a reception hosted by the pair in 2015, Camilla has reportedly noted Sarah's contributions to the foundation with approval.
Camilla's late brother Mark Shand co-founded the Elephant Family in 2002 and Sarah reportedly agreed with the charity that she would not attend certain events after Charles and Camilla got involved "because of the sensitivities" surrounding their relationship.
Sarah divorced Charles' brother Prince Andrew over 20 years ago, although the exes have remained friendly.
And Sarah is set to attend an upcoming event for the charity after impressing Camilla.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "It's true that Sarah was dropped from the guest list after the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall became presidents, because of the sensitivities involved.
"She came to an agreement with the charity that her name would not appear. She did not want to embarrass anyone.
"However, since then Camilla has been very impressed by Sarah's work for the charity."
A spokesman for Elephant Family said: "The Duchess of York's support for our work has always been hugely appreciated."

Sarah Ferguson selling 150k Bentley

Sarah Ferguson is selling her Bentley for one fifth of its value.
The 56-year-old Duchess of York previously received the £150,000 car as a gift from her former boyfriend Geir Frantzen but has decided to put it up for sale for just £33,995.
A source told The Sun: "She's always short of cash so selling a car she doesn't use makes sense."
Sarah has had money issues in the past and in 2011 her former husband Prince Andrew put in £1.5 million of his own money to help her avoid bankruptcy.
But she has bounced back and most recently was spotted selling food blenders on US shopping channel QVC.
She told viewers of QVC: "Americans have been so good to me. They helped me build my confidence. They gave my children their mother back because they believed in second chances.
"I've made a few mistakes, put on weight and done this, that and the other and now because of the American people, I wanted to be really honest with them."
And Sarah recently revealed that that her daughter Princess Beatrice is much better with money than she is.
Speaking about Beatrice's move to New York last year, she shared: "She loves it. She's doing very well.
"She's very financially savvy, unlike her mother!"

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to visit Taj Mahal

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit the Taj Mahal on their upcoming trip to India.
Prince William will follow in the footsteps of his late mother, Princess Diana, by visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site when he and his wife Duchess Catherine travel to India in April.
An "advance team" from the British High Commission reportedly held talks with officials in Agra last week to arrange the visit.
A source told the Times of India: "The advance team did not disclose much information about the itinerary. Even the date was not shared with us."
This will be the first visit to the country for William and Catherine, who will travel without their children, Prince George, two, and Princess Charlotte, nine months.
They will remain in the UK with their nanny, Maria Borallo, and grandparents, Michael and Carole Middleton.
Their trip to India was announced last year with a spokesperson saying: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit India in the spring of 2016.
"The visit is being undertaken at the request of Her Majesty's Government and will be the first time The Duke and Duchess have visited the country."

Damian Lewis gives Britain’s Prince Charles a history lesson

Damian Lewis gave Britain's Prince Charles a history lesson as he attended the Prince's Trust Invest in Futures Gala dinner yesterday evening (04.02.16).
The 44-year-old actor - who is best known for his role as King Henry VIII of England in BBC period drama 'Wolf Hall' - was speaking to the 67-year-old royal about his character when he decided to share his knowledge about the former King with the royal host.
He said: "You know he invented 'Your Majesty'? No monarch before Henry VIII was 'Your Majesty', because monarch wasn't enough."
After their discussion, Damian's wife Helen McCrory joked: "Only my husband could give the future king of England history lessons on the monarchy."
Meanwhile, Kylie Minogue provided the entertainment as guests packed into The Old Billingsgate in London, and stunned in a beautiful but daring gold gown.
Before Kylie took to the stage, Prince Charles told the gathered crowd: "I met Kylie a long time ago - her voice and movements get better and better each year."
Attendees at the event included Naomie Harris, Geri Horner, David Haye and Jerry Hall.

Britain’s Princess Anne visits troops

Britain's Princess Anne praised Scottish soldiers as she visited their base in Cyprus.
The 65-year-old royal made a flying visit to the troops of the 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland and toured their base in UN Nicosia.
She said: "I'm confident that you do this as well as you do everything else, as you approach all the roles that you do, with a consummate professionalism. Thank you for another job well done."
During her visit, she inspected the Guard of Honour before she was shown the 'Green Line', which divides the northern Turkish region and the southern Greek region of the country.
It is no surprise that the Princess Royal was named the hardest working royal of 2015 as she has already racked up a number of foreign trips since the start of this year.
The Princess was recently in the Falkland Islands, where she laid a wreath to remember the British recapture of the island.
The daughter of Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh attended a ceremony to celebrate the liberation of the islands at the 1982 Liberation Monument whilst the Reverend Kathy Biles conducted a service to mark the occasion alongside representatives of the local community.
