Zoe Kravitz to star in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Zoe Kravitz will star in ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’.
The Warner Bros film is a spin-off of the Harry Potter franchise and the 27-year-old actress-and-model will be joining Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell, John Voight, Ezra Miller and Alison Sudol who have already been announced for the film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ star will have a relatively small part in the feature, but she could return for the sequel, which Warner Bros. Pictures have already scheduled in for a November 2018 release.
Kravitz – whose rock star father Lenny Kravitz has also made a foray into acting in recent years in flicks like ‘The Hunger Games’ – has been building a strong presence on screen over the past few years with parts in high-profile movies like ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past, ‘Dope’ and ‘Mad Max’.
‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ is based on J.K. Rowling’s novel of the same name, and it also marks the author’s screenwriting debut.
The story follows Redmayne’s character, Newt Scamander, who travels to America with his magical expanding briefcase full of dangerous creatures for a meeting with an important official at the Magical Congress of the United States of America.
The creatures escape from the briefcase and chaos ensues, as the wizarding authorities go after Newt and a fresh strain is put on magical and non-magical relations.
The film is currently in post-production and is set for release on 18 November.
