Zoe Ball comments on It Takes Two future

Zoe Ball has confirmed she will stay on ‘It Takes Two’ despite her new role on BBC Radio 2.
The 47-year-old star will take over the ‘Breakfast Show’ next week after Chris Evans’ decision to leave after eight years, and she has revealed she wants to continue on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ spin-off when it returns later this year.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: "I love ‘It Takes Two’ and I’m like, ‘Get back – this is my show, I love it so much’. So I am planning on doing both.
"How that will work later in the year, I don’t know. There might have to be a nap during the day, but I love that show so much. I love the whole thing."
Her predecessor Chris hosted his final show on Christmas Eve (24.12.18) and told his audience not to be too sad over his departure.
Speaking on air, he said: "It is sad. It’s a sad day today. But it is also an exciting day for everyone. You’ve got to turn the pages sometimes.
"If you wait for other people to turn them it might never happen, you know what I am saying? Please don’t shed too many tears during our final morning."
Back in October, Zoe commented on her new role and said it was "both an honour and a privilege".
Speaking in a statement, she said: "To be the first woman to present this very special show is both an honour and privilege. Believe me, I’m not underestimating the enormity of the task ahead, to follow not one but two of my broadcasting idols, into such a well-loved show is somewhat daunting.
"I hope, in the same way that Chris made this show his own after taking over from the wonderful Sir Terry Wogan, that with a top team alongside me, I can bring the fabulous Radio 2 audience a show they want to wake up to."
