Zendaya joins Spider-Man reboot

Zendaya has boarded the cast of the ‘Spider-Man’ reboot.
The 19-year-old star has confirmed she will play the part of Michelle in the as-yet-untitled superhero film and is delighted to enter the world of "real" movies.
Speaking on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, the actress revealed: "’I can’t say anything else other than I’m going to be in it. It’s very exciting. When it comes to the acting space, I’m basically unknown. I’ve never been in a real movie before or anything like that."
Zendaya rose to fame in Disney Channel series ‘Shake It Up’ alongside Bella Thorne and starred in ‘K.C. Undercover’ and ‘Zapped’.
She subsequently released an eponymous album of songs which was certified platinum in the US.
Despite her success on TV and in the charts, the brunette beauty endured rounds of auditions before she was finally awarded the part in the comic book movie.
She said: "I had to start from the bottom like anyone else. I auditioned and auditioned and auditioned and [broke] down those walls because a lot of people do have that pre-conceived notion of who I am based off previous things I’ve done, so you got to really break that down and go hard, put in the work, take all the meetings, take all the auditions."
Tom Holland, also 19, will play Peter Parker and his alter ego Spider-Man, while Marisa Tomei has been cast as Aunt May.
Holland will make his first appearance as the web-slinger in Marvel Studios film ‘Captain America: Civil War’.
