Zayn Malik is living his "dream life right now".
One year after the 23-year-old singer dramatically quit One Direction in the middle of their ‘On The Road Again’ world tour, Zayn has relaunched himself as a chart-topping solo singer and he couldn’t be happier.
Referring to the success of his debut single ‘Pillowtalk’ and album ‘Mind of Mine’, which both topped the charts worldwide, he tweeted: "Can’t believe pillows doing so well still !! Honestly so overwhelmed recently by the support can’t thank you enough! big love to you all !
"Also big thanks to everyone that’s bought the album … dream life at the min (sic)."
No doubt another reason for Zayn’s happiness is his flourishing relationship with Gigi Hadid and it was recently claimed that they are moving in together.
The 20-year-old model is planning to give up her life in New York to set up home with her boyfriend of five months in Los Angeles because she can’t bear being apart from the British pop star.
A source said: "Zayn wants Gigi to move in with him and she says she now feels 100 per cent ready.
"She loves her New York City apartment and wanted to be sure Zayn was serious before moving to LA, but she’s madly in love with him and can’t stand to be apart so she knows it’s the right move."
The former One Direction hunk is keen to capitalise on his US success – which has seen him become the first UK male solo artist to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart with ‘Mind of Mine’ – and wants to build his future Stateside.
The source told Britain’s Closer magazine: "Zayn never expected his solo career to take off like this and he’s overwhelmed with the success he’s having in the US.
"He wants to settle in America and has made it clear to Gigi that he wants to make a life with her and sees her in his future."
