Zara Larsson wants to collaborate with Tate McRae

Zara Larsson would love to do a “joint album” with Tate McRae.

The 27-year-old Swedish pop star – who is supporting Tate on her Miss Possessive tour in North America and South America – thinks the Greedy hitmaker is “so talented” and would be up for collaborating with her.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday (15.06.25), Zara said: “I would love to collaborate with Tate.

“What if we like do this [Summertime Ball] on tour and make a joint album?

“I really would [love to collaborate with Tate]. I think she’s so talented.”

Tate’s “danceable” tunes have motivated Zara to get into a dance studio and practice her choreography for the Miss Possessive Tour.

Zara – who performed her much-loved hits, including Symphony and Never Forget You, at Summertime Ball – said: “I love her music, I love the fact it’s so danceable, and it’s something that inspires me a lot.

“So I’m definitely going to be getting into the dance studio and rehearsing for the tour.”

Tate – who sang the likes of Greedy and Revolving Door at Summertime Ball – and Zara first shot to fame by taking part in TV talent shows.

Zara won the second season of Talang, the Swedish version of the Got Talent franchise in 2008, and fears being a judge on talent shows might make her mean.

The Lush Life singer responded when asked if she would like to be a judge: “Never say never. Maybe I would be a judge on a show like that. I think that would be quite fun.

“But I like to be nice. I don’t want to tell anyone they’re not good. So, I would just be the positive one, probably.”

Zara encourages aspiring singers to utilise the power of social media to get themselves out there.

Offering her advice to young talent, she shared: “I would just say, if you have the dreams, you can do it. Like literally, especially now because there are so many platforms where you could express your music, or your style, or your opinions, and who you are.

“So really use those platforms because – I mean, that’s like my label’s number one marketing thing; they’re like, ‘Post a TikTok.’

“And I’m like, ‘OK! I guess.’ So, you’ve just got to put yourself out there and don’t be shy. And to really surround yourself with people who care about you, I would say is very important.”
