Zack de la Rocha could join Prophets of Rage

Rage Against The Machine’s Tim Commerford hasn’t ruled out Zack de la Rocha joining Prophets of Rage.
The bassist is joined in the supergroup by his RATM bandmates Tom Morello and Brad Wilk, as well as Public Enemy’s Chuck D and DJ Lord and Cyprus Hill’s B-Real, and he admitted he has also asked the ‘Testify’ singer to be a part of the band.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I hit him up. But, he’s been feeling really good to not be doing this, and it’s not like a snuck around. I talked to him and asked him to be a part of it, and I’ve got my fingers crossed.
"That’s where I’m at. Just because he’s not been a part of it doesn’t mean he’s not going to be a part of it. I keep my fingers crossed and I pray to the Rage god every day."
But working within Prophets of Rage doesn’t mean Rage Against the Machine are over for good.
Asked if new RATM material or shows were possible, Tim said: "I’m praying. I’ve got my fingers crossed."
When it was suggested that a triple show of Rage, Prophets and his new band Wakrat might be pretty special, Tim added: "That would be sick."
However, Tim doesn’t think RATM is all about one person, and that is what makes them special.
He explained: "It’s so neat to be in a band that’s Rage Against The Machine, and not be in a band that’s Zack de la Rocha. I’m not in a band with Mick Jagger. I’m in Rage Against The Machine, it’s pretty cool."
