Yvette Fielding says late dad’s ghost called her ‘skinny cow’

Yvette Fielding says her late dad’s ghost calls her a "skinny cow".

The ‘Most Haunted’ star claimed she and her father regularly have conversations using a system where his spirit taps to letters of the alphabet to communicate.

Speaking on the ‘Acting For Others’ podcast, she explained: "So I’ll say, ‘Can you give me a message? Two for yes, one for no.’

"Two taps will come through. And then I’ll say, ‘OK, is this first letter on this line?’ This line … tap. Then I’ll point to a letter and he’ll tap to each letter.

"My dad has come through with all sorts of information, telling me to get Rick, my brother, to come home – ‘I don’t want him in America’.

"He told me to stop dieting – ‘too much, skinny cow!’ Really interesting stuff."

The 51-year-old star – who was speaking to her former ‘Blue Peter’ co-star Mark Curry on the podcast – even insisted she has a "better relationship" with her late dad through their paranormal exchanges.

She added: "This may seem strange, but I have more of a relationship and a better relationship with my father since he passed over than I did when he was alive.

"Try and figure that one out."

Yvette admitted her role on ‘Most Haunted’ convinced her of the afterlife, and helped her overcome her sadness at the idea of death.

She said: "Before I did ‘Most Haunted’ and before I got into it all, I remember feeling a little bit sad thinking, ‘Gosh, when you’re dead you’re dead, that’s it, there’s nothing.’

"Times when you feel down or fed up, that was always in the back of my mind thinking, ‘What’s it all about? Why are we here? What’s it all for?’

"20 years of doing this now and I know 100 per cent that there is life after death. There is a reason for us being here. And it has reshaped my life."
