Yungblud celebrates individualism on new track Parents

Yungblud celebrates "individualism" on new track ‘Parents’.
The 20-year-old pop rock singer – whose real name is Dominic Harrison – has followed up his single ‘Loner’ and ‘Live in Atlanta’ LP with the Twenty One Pilots-sounding number.
On the meaning of the track, he said: "’Parents’ is a tribute to individualism."You are the best judge of how to become the best you.
"Don’t conform to the outside world’s perception of who you should be if it means losing yourself in the process."
Yungblud’s live album was recorded during his sold-out 10th October 2018 show at Vinyl in Atlanta and kicks off with ’21st Century Liability’ – the title track of the musician’s 2018 debut album.
The record also includes searing versions of ‘I Love You, Will You Marry Me’, ‘Psychotic Kids’ ‘California’ and ‘Die For The Hype’.
Yungblud also dropped catchy pop punk banger ’11 Minutes’ with girlfriend Halsey and Travis Barker in February.
The ‘Kill Somebody’ hitmaker previously admitted he was "s****ing himself" when the Blink-182 drummer came into the studio to work on the track.
He recalled: "We were in the studio recording it and I said it needs a real drummer on it. She’s amazing, we created some magic but it needed some energy, it needs to sound like a Blink-182 record. She’s like, ‘Oh I’ll just text Travis Barker’.
"[Travis] was in the studio and 10 minutes later [he was working on the track]. I literally s**t myself – s**t myself thinking about s****ing myself."
The British star says the song was completed within just three days of the trio being in the studio.
He said: "It was such an insane experience and came together so quickly … The record came together within three days of us all meeting each other, which is crazy. We went to grab a drink and no one in music does that anymore, from my experience, no one in music reaches out to me if they don’t want something."
‘Parents’ is out now on all major streaming services.
