X Factor hopefuls get engaged

A pair of ‘X Factor’ hopefuls got engaged in front of the judging panel.
Stephen went down on one knee to propose to his partner Sharna during Saturday night’s (10.09.16) episode of the ITV show after they impressed the judges – Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger – with a rendition of Justin Bieber’s hit track ‘Love Yourself’.
After their performance, Stephen said: "Can I just stop for one second? Before we go, I’d like the opportunity to ask this beautiful woman if she will be my wife?"
He turned to Sharna and said: "Will you marry me?"
The proposal left the whole room in tears. When Sharna said yes, Simon excitedly called the couple over to examine the ring.
He said: "I want to see the ring. Oh my gosh, your hands are shaking – come here. Your ring is beautiful!"
Sharna and Stephen – who are better known as He Knows She Knows – have enjoyed a whirlwind romance, having only met six months ago. They moved in with each other two days after their first meeting and their audition was the first time their parents had met.
Elsewhere on the ITV show, Simon made contestant Philip Hadlow’s dream come true by allowing him a chance to sit on the panel for one audition.
Simon told him: "Right, okay, would you like to sit in for Louis during the next audition?"
When hopeful Christina Postma entered the room, Philip expertly quizzed her but he failed to impress with his own singing and was sent home.
