X and Jonathan Goodwin goes through to Britain’s Got Talent final

X and Jonathan Goodwin have made it through to the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ final.
The masked magician and the dare devil have become the final two acts to win a place in Sunday’s (02.06.19) live final of the ITV talent competition after they were crowned the victors during the fifth live semi final on Friday (31.05.19) night.
X was the first to secure his place in the final after he impressed the judges when he managed to prove the connection between hosts Ant and Dec by giving the former an electric shock on the bottom, which led to the latter leaping from his chair and clutching the same spot on his backside – despite nothing touching him.
He then asked Simon Cowell to pick a word from a list – in this case he chose "hope" – and instructed Amanda Holden to scroll to the first post shared on his Instagram account back in April. The photograph showed Simon standing in front of the sign "hope" with X lingering in the spooky background.
His mysterious skill dazzled the viewers at home and he was sent straight through to the next round after winning the overall public vote, while Jonathan went up against dance act Libby and Charlie in the judges’ vote.
While Alesha Dixon and David Walliams voted to send Jonathan through to the final, Amanda was impressed that the dance duo only had two days to get their routine ready after they were brought in as a reserve act.
Simon refused to be the person to shatter someone’s dream so sent it through to the deadlock, meaning the original public vote had to decide the second finalist.
The public had voted for Jonathan – who managed to dodge crossbow bolts controlled by a bottle of water while blindfolded in his performance – in second place shortly behind X, so he will now perform again on Sunday in the live final.
He said: "I can’t believe it."
When asked whether he already has in mind what he’ll do for the final, Jonathan said: "It’s more dangerous than what I just did and way way bigger."
X and Jonathan will join Thursday’s semi-final winners Ben Hart and Mark McMullan, as well as elderly singer Colin Thackery, comedian Kojo Anim, comedy singer Siobhan Phillips, teen magic group 4MG, police and dog duo Dave and Finn, and energetic children’s choir Flakefleet Primary School.
