The WWE Network is to launch in the UK and Ireland on January 19.
World Wrestling Entertainment’s long-awaited and much-anticipated on-demand channel is finally going live after two previous delays and will be available for £9.99 a month in the UK and €12.99 in Ireland.
In a video message for British and Irish fans, WWE boss Vince McMahon said: "As The Rock would say, finally, the WWE Network is coming to the United Kingdom and Ireland, on Monday January 19, and this time we really mean it … You’ve been waiting for a long time for the WWE Network and we thank you for your patience. Happy New Year."
Vince’s daughter, WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon, is very excited about the arrival of the Network in the UK and is sure British fans will love the Netflix-style service as it has "something for everyone".
Speaking to The Sun website, Stephanie – who is married to Superstar and WWE Executive Vice President Triple H – said: "I think the beauty of the WWE Network is that there really is something for everyone," said Stephanie, 38, WWE’s Chief Brand Officer and daughter of Vince.
"We have the most passionate fans in the world. The Network, as well as all of our programming is designed to give them a creative experience worthy of that passion."
The WWE Network will be available in time for the ‘Royal Rumble’ on January 25 and the event can also be viewed live on Sky Sports Box Office.
