Wu-Tang Clan fans offered refunds as key members miss ‘full lineup farewell tour’

Wu-Tang Clan fans have been offered refunds after several members failed to appear on what was billed as a full lineup farewell tour.

The iconic hip-hop group played at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on March 25, but not everyone was part of the show despite it being billed as having “all members” on stage.

Method Man, Raekwon, Cappadonna and Young Dirty B****** were all absent from the show, with RZA, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck and U-God appearing on stage.

When the tour was announced in October 2025, it was billed by Wu-Tang Clan, as well as promoters TEG Dainty and Untitled Group, as a “final” Australian run featuring “all members”.

Before the tour started, the group posted on their Instagram Story to reveal Method Man wouldn’t be making the trip, but there was no update about the other members for the shows including the Melbourne and Sydney concerts over the weekend.

Ticketek had offered refunds to ticketholders for both shows.

They added in a statement: “We want to make fans aware that due to unforeseen circumstances, a couple of members will be unable to join the remaining tour dates in Melbourne and Sydney. “Wu-Tang Clan will be performing and bringing everything that has made them one of the most iconic live acts in hip-hop history.”

Wu-Tang Clan formed in 1992 and made waves the following year with their debut LP Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), while 1997 follow-up Wu-Tang Forever topped the Billboard 200 as well as charts in the UK, Canada and New Zealand.

The group’s most recent Australian run came in May 2023 with Nas on the NY State of Mind tour.

Last month, the group were mourning the death of their executive producer Oliver ‘Power’ Grant at the age of 52.

He was a major player both for their music and business empire.

Wu-Tang Clan confirmed the tragic news on their official Instagram account, as they simply wrote: “Rest in Power, Power.”

Method Man shared a photo of them together along with heartbroken emojis, and wrote: “Paradise my Brother safe Travels!! #pookie #power (sic)”

He added: “Bruh I am not OK.”

Raekwon wrote: “POWER we been everywhere … now you everywhere! the most high is merciful love you.”

And Gza said: “We couldn’t have done it without him.

“Wu wouldn’t have come to fruition without Power. His passing is a profound loss to us all. My deepest condolences to the fam.”
