Wretch 32: The best rap shows have to be believable

Wretch 32 thinks the art of nailing a live rap show is being "believable".
The 31-year-old grime artist feels his best performances have been when he’s either having a lot of fun on stage or telling a heartfelt story, which usually gets him the biggest reaction from the crowd.
He explained: "People believe people who are believable. It sounds silly to say, but if you look like you’re having fun it encourages people. You see them covering their mouths, teary-eyed when you’re telling an emotional story, or with their eyes closed and s**t, zoning out to music."
The ‘Young Fire Old Flame’ rapper also believes it’s important to gain the respect of his fans by showing them he’s on top of his game when he performs.
He told NME magazine: "You want people to respect you and you wanna respect yourself. I believe I’m good. I’m trying to deliver a world-class performance. I’m not gonna do a semi-professional show. I’m trying to be the best in every field and I Think people have gotta feel that."
Last night (17.03.16) Adidas Originals kicked off their immersive space, Future House, with a standout music billing including live international performances from Joey Bada$$, Annie Mac Wretch 32 & Avelino, Snakehips, DJ Sets from Manny Norte, Monki & Lily Mercer.
