Wretch 32 doesn’t make New Year’s resolutions

Wretch 32 no longer makes New Year’s resolutions.

The ‘Don’t Go’ rapper made a vow a few years ago not to make any changes to his life every time January hit because he always broke his promises but ironically that resolution is the only one he has stuck to.

Discussing resolutions, he told BANG Showbiz: "Just being the idiot that I am, a few years ago, I made the resolution to not make a resolution again, and I kind of stuck to it. It’s the only one I’ve stuck to, so yeah, I’ve been sticking to that for a little while."

Wretch – real name Jermaine Sinclair – is looking forward to a busy 2015 musically and has revealed he tried to emulate the anthems written by the likes of Take That’s Gary Barlow and Coldplay’s Chris Martin on his latest album ‘Growing Over Life’.

He said: "The inspiration behind the record has been listening to Coldplay records, listening to Gary Barlow records like ‘Greatest Day’, stuff like that, and just trying to put my spin on it.

"I wanted to put out my version of those big songs, one of those feel good records.

"You know like when you listen to ‘Greatest Day’ by Take That, when that chorus comes in, it just feels like you want to open your arms and sing, so it’s just about making songs that connect with people on the biggest scale."
