Will Young confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing

Will Young has been confirmed for this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The ‘Evergreen’ hitmaker has become the second celebrity to join the official line-up for the forthcoming series of the Ballroom and Latin show after the BBC bosses managed to nab him at the "right time."
He said: "As a fan of ‘Strictly…’ for years, I have always imagined myself on the show, but the timing has not been right… until now!"
The 37-year-old singer hinted that he had signed for the glitzy programme on Tuesday (09.08.16) morning when he said he had some "exciting big news" to announce to his fans at 3pm.
Will is no stranger to the world of dance as he picked up tips and tricks when he took part in the revival of’ Cabaret’ the musical, in which he was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award, in 2013.
Meanwhile, the former ‘Pop Idol’ winner will have some fierce competition on his hands as politician Ed Balls has also been confirmed to take to the dance floor later this year for the show.
However, the former MP doesn’t seem to be full of confidence as, unlike Will, he has admitted he’s "scared to death" about the venture.
He said recently: "I’d like to say I’m just really excited about learning to dance on TV, but the truth is I’m also scared to death.
"Making a speech in Parliament seems a piece of cake compared to this, but hopefully I can stick around for a couple of weeks, and have a lot of fun in the process."
Laura Whitmore, Frank Bruno and Judge Rinder are also thought to be on the hit list as they hope to lift the famous glitterball trophy.
