Will Mellor: Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps ‘best job in the world’

Will Mellor says working on ‘Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps’ was "the best job in the world".

The 38-year-old actor starred as Gaz Wilkinson in the BBC comedy for over ten years and admits he felt lucky to be given the opportunity to work with people that he went on to become great friends with.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "We had such a ball doing the show, we laughed everyday, we laughed out loud. I miss those days. It was such a tight cast, we had such a good laugh and we socialised together.

"It was a different stage of my life … But at the time it was just the best job in the world to do … I miss it but I’m glad I have it. It’s in my past."

The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actor starred alongside ‘Cilla’ actress Sheridan Smith, The Royle Family’s Ralf Little, Kathryn Drysdale and Natalie Casey in Two Pints and has confessed he’d love to work with them again in the future.

He added: "I would definitely work with any of the Two Pints cast again. Ralf, Sheridan … I’d love to work with Sheridan on something else but I think you need to give a long enough time for people to forget the Two Pints connection."

Will recently took on the role of expectant father Rick alongside Jill Halfpenny as wife Diane in ‘In the Club’, which is out now on DVD.
