Wes Nelson says he’s a millionaire and never has to work again

Wes Nelson says reality TV has made him a millionaire.

The 22-year-old star first found fame on ‘Love Island’ and followed it up with shows including ‘Dancing On Ice’ and ‘The X Factor: Celebrity’ and Wes says he has accumulated so much wealth that he never needs to work again.

He told The Sun newspaper: "I was a millionaire by the age of 21. And that’s not being a show off or anything, but it’s wise investments and understanding this life doesn’t last forever.

"I’ve been lucky to have so many shows under my belt, and I’m super grateful for that.

"I have a passive income and generational wealth, so my children, whenever they come about, they’re not going to have to work again. I don’t have to work again."

Wes – who is a qualified nuclear systems design engineer – invested his money into property and says he owns a number of mortgage free homes.

He explained: "Every time I went to a PA, instead of listening to music, I’d be listening to podcasts on property."

Now Wes is launching a music career and recently signed with EMI Records.

He said: "It’s something I’ve wanted to do my entire life. I think it’s that stamp of approval to say ‘yep, you’re a professional singer now’. For me, it’s most definitely my biggest achievement in my entire life."
