Warwick Davis set to launch his own chat show

Warwick Davis is developing his own "hybrid" chat show.
The 49-year-old actor has played plenty of memorable characters in his film career, including Ewok Wicket in ‘Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi’ and Professor Filius Flitwick and Griphook in the ‘Harry Potter’ films, whilst his TV career has seen him host ‘Tenable’ on ITV and star in the Ricky Gervais written shows ‘Extras’ and ‘Life’s Too Short’.
Now, he plans to "tick off" being a chat show host from his "bucket list".
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Warwick revealed: "Ultimately, chat show is where I want to be. I’ve ticked off all the other things on my bucket list and that would be the one that needs to be ticked off.
"I’m working on a few ideas which potentially could go to ITV. It could be a really exciting year next year if it all works out. It’s kind of a hybrid idea, it’s ’chat-esque’ shall we say."
However, Warwick doesn’t plan to shy away from acting anytime soon as long as he continues to be invited on set.
He added: "I don’t think as an actor you ever really retire. I love what I do. As long as people are still asking me to get in front of the camera I’ll be there."
Warwick is hoping to get a call from J.K. Rowling to be part of ‘Harry Potter’ spin-off series, ‘Fantastic Beasts…’, which is set in the same wizarding world.
He previously said: "I’d love a chance to do it, it just hasn’t cropped up. I’d love to be able to dip into that side of the wizarding world. Of course there are many characters in there and it would be nice if I was able to play.
"There’s certain crossovers as well. So, characters that I’ve already played could cross over into those stories. It’s up to J.K. Rowling, really. I’ll have a word when I next see her."
