Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway will return to present Best Picture

Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway will present Best Picture at Sunday’s (04.03.18) Academy Awards – despite announcing the wrong winner last year.
The ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ co-stars are said to have been rehearsing the big moment at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theater, and writers are still putting the finishing touches to what they are going to say when they reveal who has scooped the prestigious prize.
An Oscars source told TMZ that Faye, 77, started their rehearsal segment by saying: "Presenting is better the second time around."
Warren then said: "The winner is ‘Gone with the Wind.’"
Faye has since admitted she felt "very guilty" following the Best Picture blunder at last year’s Oscars, and was "completely stunned" after incorrectly announcing ‘La La Land’ had won the award, rather than ‘Moonlight’.
She recently said: "[Warren] took the card out and he didn’t say anything. He paused, he looked over me, offstage, he looked around and I finally said, ‘You’re impossible!’
"I thought he was joking, I thought he was stalling. Warren’s like that, he kind of holds the power – a dramatic pause."
The chaos came when Warren handed the card over to Faye, but it mistakenly featured information about Emma Stone winning Best Actress for her role in ‘La La Land’, and the ‘Chinatown’ star read the movie’s title out as the Best Picture winner.
She recalled: "We were, I won’t say deers in the headlight, but you are completely stunned, you don’t know what has happened.
"I thought I could have done something, surely. Why didn’t I see Emma Stone’s name on top of the card?"
‘Reds’ star Warren – who was handed the wrong envelope by a member of the accountancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers – has since tried to play down the awkward moment.
He said: "It seemed kind of silly. It struck me [as] kind of funny that this moment was so overly dramatised, you know. But then stuff happens."
