Vogue Williams has been tipped to win on her jockey debut.
The 33-year-old DJ and TV presenter is set to compete in charity race the Magnolia Cup at the Glorious Goodwood festival on Thursday (01.08.19) and form experts at Racing Post have tipped Vogue for victory.
Vogue is set to compete against stars including Luisa Zissman and Victoria Pendleton but she could emerge as the winner thanks to her trusty steed, which has won more times than any other horse in the prestigious charity race.
Indeed, Vogue’s horse had a comfortable win over the same course and distance as today in May of this year.
In total her horse Bom Bom has won on six occasions during his career, whilst boasting three runs at Goodwood where experience is vital, especially for an amateur jockey like Vogue.
Vogue’s horse has been trained by horse trainer, Richard Fahey, and will run as The Magic Sign in the race.
Vogue – who welcomed her son Theodore with husband Spencer Matthews 10 months ago – has been training for the big day for the last four months.
However, it has not been all plain sailing for the star as she had to get 12 stitches after falling off her horse last month.
She told The Sun: "I did have an accident, it looks pretty rank now but it’s fine. I got a bit of a fright to be honest, it was quite a bad fall.
"I got 12 stitches so I was a bit nervous. I kind of got my confidence back in Jim’s [racehorse trainer Jim Boyle] because I ride some of my favourite horses up here, so it’s been nice to get out.
"I’ve worked so hard towards this one thing so I’m like let’s just do it, and get it out of the way. You can only do as well as you can do.
"I think I’ve come a long way since I’ve first started so I’m pretty happy with that."
