Tyger Drew-Honey working in golf shop

Tyger Drew-Honey is working part-time in a golf shop.
The ‘Outnumbered’ star stunned onlookers recently when he was spotted having a two-day induction at American Golf in Birmingham in the hope of bagging a temporary job with the company so that he can pull in some extra cash while he writes his own sitcom.
An onlooker told The Sun newspaper: "Everyone had to go round introducing ourselves and he said, ‘You might recognise my face as I’ve done work on TV’. It’s quite a basic job and an unusual step for somebody who’s been acting from a young age."
The 21-year-old actor – who is currently in between jobs – jumped at the chance to work at the course because he’s clued up on the sport and is hoping he’ll get a discount.
A source said: "It’s a no brainier really for him.
"He loves golf and this means he gets a big discount on equipment and free use of the facilities while earning a bit of pocket money."
A representative for the star added: "He’s helping out in the pro shop between acting roles to gain a better understanding of the sport."
Tyger shot to fame in 2007 when ‘Outnumbered’, in which he played Jake, hit television screens. The comedy ran for 38 episodes – five series – during which time it had three festive specials before it came to an end in March 2014.
Bosses then decided to bring the show back last year for a one-off Christmas special in order to give fans a glimpse of the cast – comprised also of Daniel Roche, Ramona Marquez, Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner – all grown up.
However, although the special received rave reviews, Tyger doesn’t think there will be an opportunity for the programme to return to screens permanently.
He said recently: "When we did the press for the Christmas special one of the writers and directors Andy Hamilton did say it’s something they’d like to pop into every year or so. I think the show still gets comedy, a lot of people think its lost its charm cause we’re not as young anymore. I think another series is slightly unlikely but another special or two or three in the coming five years is probably very likely."
