Two Door Cinema Club rehearse for first gigs in 3 years

Two Door Cinema Club have started rehearsing for their first live shows in more than three years.
The indie trio – comprised of frontman Alex Trimble, bassist Kevin Baird and guitarist Sam Halliday – recently confirmed the completion of their long-awaited third studio LP and now they are preparing themselves for a number of festival slots including their fifth time at Glastonbury and both Reading and Leeds festivals, and they’ve even treated themselves to new instruments.
Taking to their official Twitter account on Monday (04.04.16), they wrote: "Day 1 of rehearsals today. Hope the rest of the guys dig my new guitar. Yeehaaa! (sic)"
The ‘Undercover Martyn’ hitmakers are getting a lot of practice in as the last time they performed live together was in December 2013, in London and Blackpool, in support of their EP ‘Changing of the Seasons’, which was released in September of the same year.
Following their extended break between 2013 and mid-2015, the band promised new music and shows, but are still yet to announce a tour and a release date for their completed untitled record.
The album will follow their second studio effort, 2012’s ‘Beacon’.
Taking to their Twitter account back in January, they announced: "Happy New Year! Looking forward to sharing new music, new shows, new everything with you guys! TDCC x (sic)"
