Twitter creates crown emoji to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday

Twitter has created a crown emoji to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday.
Fans of the royals will be able to offer their birthday wishes to the monarch on the microblogging site by tweeting either #Queenat90 or #happybirthdayyourmajesty to activate the crown emoji.
Twitter’s UK MD Dara Nasr said: "With the Monarch celebrating such a milestone birthday, we wanted to enable Twitter users to mark the occasion in a truly special way on the platform.
"The crown emoji represents The Queen’s lifelong commitment and reflects people’s love and admiration for her on this special birthday. We can’t wait for users to share their messages and join the conversation on Twitter during the celebrations this weekend."
The Queen’s birthday will be celebrated at a National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday (10.06.16).
The ceremony will be attended by the Queen’s husband, the Duke of Edinburgh – who is also celebrating his 95th birthday on Friday (10.06.16) – as well as the Prince of Wales and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
British Prime Minister David Cameron will read an excerpt from the New Testament whilst Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, will provide the sermon.
The service kicks off three days of celebrations, which will also see the Patron’s Lunch held on the Mall, organised by her grandson Peter Phillips.
