Corrie’s Tisha Merry starstruck by Michelle Keegan

'Coronation Street's' Tisha Merry was "starstruck" by Michelle Keegan.
The young actress - who plays waitress Steph Britton - admits she was too scared to talk to her glamorous co-star when she first joined the soap last year, but they have now become fast friends and even get told off for talking too much on set.
Tisha told The Sun newspaper: "She's so famous and I got really starstruck and kept thinking, 'Oh gosh, don't say anything to her unless it's really funny', or, 'Just don't say anything until you're spoken to.' "
Tisha's character will move in with Michelle's Tina McIntyre in episodes to air tonight (03.03.14) and the actress was stunned when she was told the news.
She recalled: "When they first told me Steph was moving in with Tina I thought they were joking. I was happy and excited obviously but a bit scared too. I was a bit intimidated - it was strange.
"But once I got to know Michelle I realised she was a huge laugh and now acting alongside her is great.
"Now we're terrible. As soon as we walk on to set we're chatting away. We talk constantly and get told off and asked to be quiet. She's brilliant. She makes me laugh the whole time."

Susanna Reid to present ITV’s Good Morning Britain

Susanna Reid will join ITV later this year as presenter of new breakfast show 'Good Morning Britain'.
The 43-year-old presenter - who is best known for her work on 'BBC Breakfast' - recently announced that she would be taking a break from the channel following her split from partner Dominic Cotton, and it's now been confirmed that she is set to join rival ITV's new-look morning show, which will replace 'Daybreak'.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' runner-up will be joined by Ben Shepard, Charlotte Hawkins and Sam Fletcher between 6am and 8.30am on weekdays to front 'Good Morning Britain'.
Director of daytime at ITV, Helen Warner, said of the lineup: "I'm delighted to welcome all four presenters to the ITV Breakfast family. ITV has a first class roster of breakfast and daytime talent both on and off screen and I'm thrilled to be expanding this.
"Engaging, news driven content is our number one priority and will be at the heart of everything we do on 'Good Morning Britain'. I believe we have a top team in place to deliver this and make this a compelling proposition to wake up to in the morning."
Current 'Daybreak' presenter Lorraine Kelly will now be at the helm of her own show 'Lorraine' between 8.30 and 9.25am on weekdays, while Aled Jones will present a brand new morning show 'Weekend' on Saturdays and Sundays in the same time slot.
Aled said of his new role: "What more can I ask for than a mix of all the things I love! It's a dream come true to present a show I've always wanted to watch and I can't wait to get started."

Susanna Reid to take break from BBC after split

Susanna Reid is taking a break from presenting 'BBC Breakfast' after news of her marriage break-up emerged.
The 43-year-old star, who has split from her husband Dominic Cotton, the father of her three children, Sam, 11, Finn, nine, and eight-year-old Jack, will not appear on the show this week.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "She was on the rota to be on 'BBC Breakfast' this week but obviously that was drawn up before her love life became the talk of the town.
"Understandably she doesn't want to sit there on a live news programme grilling other stars about their lives while hers is a mess."
News of the couple's separation after 15 years together first came to light last week after Dominic, 46, posted a profile on a dating website, stating his relationship status as "recently separated".
His profile reads: "Underneath my blokeish exterior I am a sensitive soul. I enjoy sharing things and am someone who doesn't shy away from commitment. Life is for living with someone special."
Former 'Strictly Come Dancing' star Susanna, who will be replaced by Louise Minchin during her break from work, has been splitting her time between London and Salford, Greater Manchester, where she films 'BBC Breakfast'.
She is expected to move to ITV to take over its morning show, 'Daybreak', which is set to be revamped under the title 'Good Morning Britain' with a rumoured salary of £500,000 a year.
The source added: "ITV are champing at the bit to announce her. They're desperate to just crack on with the relaunch."

Terry Alderton: Wife made me do EastEnders

Terry Alderton's mother and wife convinced him to join 'EastEnders'.
The actor recently joined the soap as Bianca Butcher's new love interest, cab driver Terry Spraggan, and he admits it took some encouragement from his family to accept the part.
He said: "I wouldn't be here if my wife and my mum hadn't twisted my arm. Mum is a massive fan and only now that I'm in 'EastEnders' does she think I've really cracked it - and I'd thought I already had with 25 years in comedy!"
Terry says his role as the affable cab driver has been life-changing and he is now stopped in the street by fans for autographs and pictures.
He revealed: "No one could have prepared me for the attention you get, it's crazy. I wear glasses in real life, so I've bought thick ones and always wear a hat. But people still recognise me. I'm someone who didn't want to be famous."
However, not all of the attention has been positive as the actor-and-comedian often gets sent abusive messages on Twitter.
Terry told Inside Soap magazine: "I get a lot of nice tweets but I get a lot of trolls - and I love the trolls! My agent and I meet up and spend our time finding all the worst stuff written about me, and then I start following those people. They must think, 'Why is he following me?' But I love it. That's my twisted sense of humour."

Sam Faiers’ Crohn’s fertility fears

Sam Faiers was concerned that Crohn's disease would affect her fertility when she was first diagnosed.
'The Only Way Is Essex' beauty learnt she had the inflammatory bowel disease earlier this month, after experiencing severe pains while in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house in January, and she became concerned that this would effect the chances of her having children.
Quizzed on her biggest fear, she said: "Whether it would affect my fertility. Googling that was pretty much the first thing I did. I want kids and having Crohn's isn't a problem, thank goodness."
Sam admits it has been a wake up call and although she sometimes had concerns about her weight the most important thing is her health.
She added to Now magazine: "Its made me think a lot about things. I remember worrying if I went from a size 10 to 12, being bothered if I looked too big. I actually worked really hard with a trainer doing weights and 60 squats a day to get in shape for 'Celebrity Big Brother'. And then I lost a stone and a half. All I wanted was my curves back. My bum has completely disappeared.
"I'm going to get [sister] Billie [Faiers] to get me some of those padded knickers.
"We spend all of our time wanting to lose weight but life's about being healthy."

Sam Attwater eliminated from Dancing on Ice

Sam Attwater was booted off 'Dancing on Ice' tonight (02.03.14).
The 28-year-old actor - who was partnered with his fiancée Vicky Ogden - has become the latest celebrity to be voted off the ITV series after going up against Ray Quinn in the semi-final skate-off.
The hunky star - who has been in the skate-off five times this series - gave an energetic performance to Flo Rida's 'Club Can't Handle Me', but all four judges - Jason Gardiner, Ashley Roberts, Robin Cousins and Karen Barber - made the difficult decision to save the former 'X Factor' runner-up and his partner Maria Filippov, who put on a stunning display to James Morrison's 'You Make It Real'.
Paying tribute to his fiancée - whom he met on the show in 2011 - Sam said after being eliminated: "Listen, I've done five skate-offs so it's my time to go. I feel like the winner and I have something more than a trophy."
Ray - who has never been in the skate-off before tonight - is the hot favourite to be named the 'All Star'winner after receiving numerous high scores throughout the series.
Meanwhile, Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle, 'Coronation Street' star Hayley Tamaddon and Ray will battle it out in next week's final to be crowned the 'champion of all champions'.

Michael Le Vell admits to taking cocaine

Michael Le Vell has admitted to taking cocaine before and after his trial for false child sex allegations.
The 'Coronation Street' star was cleared of 12 child sex abuse charges, including rape, at Preston Crown Court last year, but he's now admitted that he was so low during the ordeal that he turned to drugs.
He said: "I've always been dead against drugs and have turned them down in the past. I've seen what they can do to people. But I had never felt so low. I knew I was innocent but everything was closing in on me.
"And when someone offered them to me, I just agreed. The first time I ever did cocaine was in the lead up to my trial. There were some bad influences around me and it felt like an escape. Now I'm so ashamed of what I did."
Having been cleared of all charges, Michael is now set to return to the ITV soap - which sees him as car mechanic Kevin Webster - and although he admits to taking cocaine after his trial as well, he claims he was clean before he began working again.
He told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "I hurt in myself afterwards and I felt like I was losing control. The only thing that has got me back on track is going back to Corrie.
"This was all while I was off work. It's over. Going back on set has put me back on an even keel."

Salma Hayek wants Downton Abbey role

Salma Hayek wants to star in 'Downton Abbey'.
The 47-year-old actress and her husband François-Henri Pinault are moving to London in the near future and she's admitted that she'd love to be offered a role in the ITV period drama.
Speaking about the upcoming move she said: "The English are so spirited but so repressed. It's so bizarre. But I love 'Downton Abbey'. I would kill for a role."
The Hispanic actress - who played Sofia Reyes in 'Ugly Betty' - admits, however that she'd look slightly out of place on the programme.
She added: "What's a Mexican going to do in 'Downton Abbey'? I would have to play deaf and dumb."
The 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico' star also claimed that while it's her husband - who owns luxury designer brands Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent - that has decided to make the move from Paris to London, she supports the choice.
She told The Times magazine: "François thinks London is very cosmopolitan. I think it will be good for my career too."
The couple recently bought a house in west London and are now looking for a school for their six-year-old daughter, Valentina, but Salma thinks she's going to struggle with the bad weather.
She said: "Finding the house has been so stressful. I'm a bit nervous about the weather. I'm going to install light bulbs at home so I can have sunshine all the time."

Chris Tarrant collapses at airport

Chris Tarrant was rushed to hospital last night (01.02.14) after collapsing at an airport in London.
The 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' host was on his way to collect his bags at Heathrow Airport after catching a flight from Bangkok, Thailand, when he collapsed and was taken to London's Charing Cross Hospital.
A source revealed: "Chris apparently was feeling quite ill on the plane but was well enough to walk to baggage claim. But he then suddenly collapsed and looked in a bad way.
"Paramedics were quickly on the scene and were desperately treating him."
The 67-year-old broadcaster had been travelling in Burma and the Andes filming for a new series of 'Chris Tarrant: Extreme Railways' before spending a night in Bangkok, according to his agent Paul Vaughan - who also revealed that his client's collapse was caused by asthma.
He told the Daily Mail newspaper: "I've been his manager for 30 years, and I know that if he goes down like a ton of bricks it's usually asthma.
"I'm surmising, bit I think his asthma attack might have been triggered by a night-time stopover in Bangkok, which has very poor air quality."
The incident is not the first time Chris has suffered with his illness, as before he was diagnosed he claimed that he "almost died" when dry ice was used on the set of 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'.
He said: "I found myself constantly having chest infections and coughing a lot. I went to see my doctor and he said I was asthmatic."
