David Walliams nearly blinds Simon Cowell

David Walliams nearly blinded Simon Cowell for being funnier than him on 'Britain's Got Talent'.
Fellow judge Amanda Holden has teased a more volatile relationship between her co-stars - who are known for their humorous banter - in the new series and has revealed Simon, 54, narrowly missed an injury after David, 42, threw a pen at him.
Quizzed about the pair's relationship this series, Amanda told BANG Showbiz: "It's actually gone quite sour! Simon is much funnier than David this year, I'm not even lying. And David has been quite violent towards him. He threw a pen at him and nearly blinded him!
"Simon said he wanted the truth to come out so I'm telling you now ... he threw a pen and it just missed his eye. It could have been dangerous."
Meanwhile, fellow judge Alesha Dixon has seen a softer side to Simon - who welcomed his first child, baby Eric, with girlfriend Lauren Silverman in February - but admits he is still a "harsh" judge on 'Britain's Got Talent'.
Speaking on the red carpet at the launch of the new series in London yesterday (09.04.14), she said: "Simon's in the best mood I've ever seen him, he's lovely to be around. There's something that a newborn baby brings, and that is joy - and it radiates from him! However, he's still harsh, as we love him to be, on the panel and I wouldn't want him to change. I think that's why we all love him judging, because he's so honest and he says what a lot of people are thinking. That hasn't changed."
'Britain's Got Talent' is back on Saturday (12.04.14) at 7.15pm on ITV.

Adrian Chiles voted most gaffe-prone football pundit

Adrian Chiles has been voted the most gaffe-prone TV football pundit.
The TV sports presenter features twice in the list of top ten most embarrassing slip-ups of this season - ahead of Chris Kamara, David Pleat, Jamie Redknapp, and Robbie Savage - thanks to his cringe-inducing one-liners.
The star ranked at number four on the list compiled by Oulala.com, the world's most evolved free fantasy football game, after he quipped, "I'm trying to get some building work done at the moment, quite seriously. Be careful", while talking about the perils of upsetting Polish football fans.
He also polled at number six due to him promising anyone who was still watching Fulham's FA Cup Replay with Sheffield United £5, joking, "If you're still watching, write in and we'll send you a fiver each". Unsurprisingly, a lot of viewers took him up on the offer.
Matt Le Tissier was crowned the worst of all with his bizarre prediction of, "Who'll win the league? It's a coin toss between three of them".
Meanwhile, the late David Coleman, infamous for his "If that had gone in, it would have been a goal" one-liner, was given the title of worst gaffe of all time.
Benjamin Carlotti, Managing Director of Oulala.com, commented: "Part of the beauty of football is that human error still plays a huge role and that goes for commentators and pundits as well as the players.
"A good football verbal clanger never fails to make you smile, so we wanted to celebrate some of this season's biggest slipups and find out who is the king of the gaffes.
"Adrian Chiles might seem to know a lot about football but he also has an amazing way with words".
Oulala.com - who polled 1,500 British football fans for the survey - is the world's most advanced fantasy football game is designed to be as close to football reality as possible offering players the chance to create and manage a virtual team.

James Argent set for Strictly

James 'Arg' Argent is in the running for the new series of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 'Only Way is Essex' star has long been a fan of the BBC ballroom contest and his dream of being a contestant could come true this year as he says he is "definitely" being considered by producers.
He said: "I want to do Strictly this year and I'm definitely in their thoughts.
And Arg thinks he would have a good chance of winning - and hopes the show could take him further towards his ambition of starring in a West End show.
He added to the Daily Star newspaper: "I can dance. I have got rhythm. I would shock people with my moves.
"I have always dreamed of being in the West End and so this show suits me down to the ground."
Insiders think 'Strictly' would be perfect for Arg as he could easily juggle 'TOWIE' filming in the week with his rehearsals and Saturday night performances on the celebrity dance contest.
However, the reality TV star is also open to following in the footsteps of his former co-stars Joey Essex and Mark Wright and taking part in 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'.
He added: "I could do the jungle. I've had good practice.
"I once ate some dodgy jellied eels."

Lucy Mecklenburgh: Chloe Sims be careful about Mario Falcone

Lucy Mecklenburgh has warned Chloe Sims to "be careful" over her relationship with Mario Falcone.
The former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star has opened up about her on-again-off-again relationship with the heartthrob and confessed that while his feelings for his best pal Charlie Sim's older sister may be real, she doesn't know whether he can change his ways.
She said: "I actually think his romance with Chloe is genuine - they seem pretty into each other. I'd be careful if I was Chloe. All I can say is, remember he cheated on me."
The 22-year-old beauty - who tricked her Twitter followers into thinking she'd gotten engaged while in Las Vegas last week - has admitted that prior to her holiday she was considering rekindling her romance with her former fiancé.
In her new! magazine column, she said: "I admit that before I went to Vegas I did think about giving things another go. But then I found out apparently he was seeing Chloe and texting another girl while at the same time telling me he would like to try things again.
"It's a shame things haven't changed."

Jermain Jackman: ‘Kylie Minogue is fantastic coach’

'The Voice' winner Jermain Jackman wants Kylie Minogue to continue as a coach on the show.
The 19-year-old singer, from London, who triumphed on the show on Saturday night (05.04.14), beating acts Sally Barker, Christina Marie and Jamie Johnson, would like to see her on another series of the talent show.
He told BANG Showbiz: "I like Kylie. She is a fantastic coach. But it comes down to her and her decision whether she wants to stay or not."
The soulful singer and Labour party activist, who was coached by will.i.am on the BBC One talent show, is trying to persuade the Black Eyed Peas star to give him one of his new futuristic mobile phone watches, which he debuted on Alan Carr's chat show.
Jermain said: "I want one of those futuristic watches. I can remember in rehearsals he was flicking his watch and I was like, 'What's that?', he was like, 'Just my phone'. He made a call on it, I was like, 'Oh my goodness, can I have one of them?' I think it's still in the post."
Jermain is now planning his debut album and hopes to have a successful music career after landing a recording contract with Universal.
And despite people getting him confused with 'X Factor' star Jermaine Douglas and Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine Jackson, he insists he isn't about to change his name.
He said: "I have never thought about changing my name, I get mistaken for Jermaine Jackson and Jahmene Douglas, but I don't want to change it. If it had an 'e' at the end I would maybe have called my album just 'Jermaine', but I like it how it is."

Alesha Dixon won’t leave BGT for X Factor

Alesha Dixon won't jump ship from 'Britain's Got Talent' to 'The X Factor'.
The 35-year-old singer, who shot to fame in girl band Mis-Teeq, has recently been rumoured to join the singing competition's judging panel with 'BGT' co-star Simon Cowell and pal Cheryl Cole, but she insists she is not swapping sides, although she finds the idea "flattering".
Meanwhile, Simon, 54, hasn't ruled out hiring the songstress for 'The X Factor' panel, however, he doesn't think Alesha would be interested as she is loyal to 'Britain's Got Talent'.
Speaking at the launch of the new series of 'BGT' in London today (09.04.14), he told BANG Showbiz: "Alesha would be great on the show, but whether she wants to do it, I don't know. She loves 'Britain's Got Talent.' "
Simon also admitted he is no closer to finalising the line-up - which is also rumoured to include veteran judge Louis Walsh - as he is determined to find a judge who is hands on.
He explained: "It's such a big job to do. What I'm trying to get my head around is, I want someone who's gonna actually be a great mentor, not just someone who's famous. And someone who's going to put the hours in - that's what is so important. I've got to find someone whose schedule from October to December is free. It's hard.
"We'll hopefully see what we can do this year. I've got Cheryl by my side, I'm back on form, and we're going to find a star."
'Britain's Got Talent' begins Saturday (12.04.14) at 7.15pm on ITV.

Michelle Collins can’t ‘bear’ to watch Cindy Beale role

Michelle Collins can't "bear" to watch herself in 'EastEnders'.
The 51-year-old actress, who played Ian Beale's scheming wife Cindy in the soap, has revealed she finds it difficult to watch old clips of her in the role as she is her "own worst critic".
She told Digital Spy: "I feel so far removed from it. Lots of people have been playing [clips] and it makes me cringe, actually. I think, 'Oh my God, I was terrible, I can't bear to listen to my voice!' I can't bear to watch it!
"I just think, 'Oh, I wish I could do it all again now.' It was a long time ago and I just feel, 'I'm not sure about that.' I am my worst critic ... I don't like hearing the sound of my voice at all. Especially when she's saying, 'Oh Ian!' "
Michelle recently quit her role as Stella Price in rival soap 'Coronation Street' and admits she would be open to reprising her role as Cindy in a charity sketch - despite the character being killed off.
She added: "I was asked to do a Children in Need sketch where Ian gets knocked over the head, gets a head injury, wakes up and Cindy's there. I really wanted to do it, but I wasn't allowed to do it because I was working.
"That would have been really good fun, to have just gone back for a moment to play Cindy again. But I don't know if I'd even know how to play Cindy again - it feels like it was a very different person. I'm not in 'Corrie' [now], so maybe I can do it next time!"

Ade Edmondson: It’s unlikely I’ll work with Rik Mayall again

Ade Edmondson says it is "unlikely" he will work with his comedy partner Rik Mayall again.
The duo enjoyed a working relationship which spanned across three decades beginning in the 1980s and produced acclaimed comedy TV shows 'The Young Ones', 'Filthy Rich & Catflap' and 'Bottom'.
Ade and Rik haven't collaborated together since the early 2000s and the 57-year-old funnyman doesn't see a reunion on the cards.
The 'Ade at Sea' star told BANG Showbiz: "I think it's very unlikely, just because we worked together for nearly 30 years and I kind of called a stop to it because I just wanted to do other stuff. I love everything we did together - I'm really proud of it - it's just that I want to experience lots of things in my life and I felt I'd experienced that to its fullest really and we'd done pretty well."
Current 'Celebrity Masterchef' winner Ade - who has has partnered with Merrydown cider to cook up three brand new recipes made from the alcoholic drink (Facebook.com/merrydown.cider) - also ruled out a Monty Python-style reunion show with Rik, 56, because most of their jokes were based around slapstick and physical comedy.
He said: "It would be quite hard to do a greatest hits tour with our show because it was always just the two of us swearing at each other and hitting each other."
When asked if a 'Young Ones' reunion stage show could happen with him, Rik, Nigel Planner and Christopher Ryan, he quipped: "That would be appalling, wouldn't it? Just imagine how bad that would be. You could come but it would be a shit show."

Simon Cowell: David Walliams is annoying on BGT

Simon Cowell finds David Walliams "annoying" on this year's 'Britain's Got Talent'.
The TV boss and music mogul, who is on the judging panel with the comedian, along with Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, insists their on-screen banter has become too much.
He said: "He's really got annoying this year. He was kind of amusing before but God forbid I make the audience laugh more than he does - he gets quite dark."
Asked if he actually likes David, he replied: "I was thinking about it when I was working with him - it's like having a child who's suddenly turned into a giant at the age of 11. He is mentally an 11 year old in this huge body. He has got a kind side but he can be very, very annoying to work with."
Simon admits he noticed Alesha and Amanda had a "girl power" pact last year and fears they could gang up against the men once again.
He said: "I did notice this awful pact between the two girls last year and the so-called girl power, and I think they will probably do the same thing again!"
The 54-year-old star also claims he isn't always impressed by people's back stories in auditions, especially when it comes to contestants not having any skills.
He said: "I'm put off when it becomes more important than their talent and I hate it when people are actually revelling in their back stories. Sometimes they don't even have an audition, they just come with a back story and can't actually do anything!
