ITV has ordered a new series of 'Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs'.
The hit documentary series, which follows pet lover Paul's efforts to help abandoned and unwanted animals at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, will return for a third series consisting of 11 half-hour episodes later this year.
ITV's factual commissioning editor Priya Singh said: "We're thrilled to see the return of this much-loved series. Paul O'Grady, heartwarming stories, humour, emotion and of course, dogs - a magical combination."
The hit series pulled in six million viewers each week for its second series and won a National Television Award in January.
The latest series will see Paul offer his assistance to other Battersea Dogs and Cats Home sites in Brands Hatch in Kent and Old Windsor in Berkshire, as well as the flagship London shelter.
Paul recently began hosting the latest series of his teatime chat show 'The Paul O'Grady Show' after recovering from an angina attack last November.
The 58-year-old star admits his latest health scare didn't deter him from his busy work schedule.
Speaking on ITV's 'Good Morning Britain' yesterday (28.04.14), he said: "I came in for work and I was the colour of paste and they said I had to go off to the hospital. I knew the night before ... I was out on Thursday and back to work on Monday and did a six-day week."

EastEnders' Lauren Branning will find a "crucial clue" in Lucy Beale's murder investigation next week.
The young Walford resident, who set up a letting agency with Lucy before her tragic death earlier this month, will come across an email from a mysterious client sent to her on the day of her pal's death requesting a meeting.
Lauren begins to wonder if Lucy - played by Hetti Bywater - met the client in her place, resulting in the blonde beauty's death.
Lauren actress Jacqueline Jossa said: "She realises she might have found a crucial clue about Lucy's death. Her first thought is, 'It was meant for me. It was addressed to me, so why did Lucy go and meet them?' "
Lauren sets up a meeting with the client to confront them with her suspicions as she continues to struggle with Lucy's demise.
Jacqueline told Digital Spy: "She feels like she owes it to Lucy to find out. No one else is trying to do anything about it. Lauren goes to the police, but they don't seem to take any notice and say they already know about it. But Lauren has an instinct feeling that it has got something to do with what happened - she might know the person and she might be able to help."

Michelle Keegan wants to be a Bond girl.
The 'Coronation Street' beauty says she's hoping to "do something about" landing herself a job as James Bond's sexy love interest in the future now she has quit her long-running role as Tina McIntyre.
Commenting on co-star Alan Halsall's claims she would be a great fit for the role, Michelle said: "Alan, ring the producer of 'Bond' and get me in there. Let's do something about it! Alan loves Bond and he sees it; I can't say I see it but I'll take that."
The 26-year-old brunette is set to leave the cobbles next month in a tragic death scene, which sees Tina murdered by a mystery killer, and it seems she is already thinking about a move to the United States to launch her Hollywood film career.
She told Britain's OK! magazine: "If my agent said it's a good idea for me to go then I would. Having said that, I would love to go and live there for a few months."
Michelle also hinted a move to Los Angeles with fiancée Mark Wright, 27, could be on the cards after they tie the knot next year, as the former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star already has work contacts there.
She added: "[Mark's] got a manager there, so he'd probably come with me. I don't know what's going to happen in the future with work - that's what I love about my life the minute."

Sam Faiers and Joey Essex are reportedly moving in together.
The former 'The Only Way is Essex' couple, who reunited earlier this year following Sam's medical ordeal after being diagnosed with Crohn's disease, are looking for a luxury pad in Essex and have set a £1 million budget for their new home.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Sam and Joey were originally taking things nice and slowly, but because they're spending so much time at home together now, they don't really see any point in waiting around.
"They're looking at some huge pads in Essex, as they see it as potentially being a family home in the future.
"They're looking around the £1 million mark."
Sam, 23, quit her role on 'TOWIE' last month in order to spend more time with Joey, 23, away from the cameras and deal with her recovery from Crohn's disease, which resulted in her losing a significant amount of weight and being rushed to hospital while in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house in January.
Joey's former fling Amy Willerton, who got close to the reality star while in the 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' jungle last year, recently said she is not at all surprised the tan-loving Essex natives have reunited.
She told BANG Showbiz: "Oh my gosh, I'm not surprised at all. It was always going to happen."

Tamzin Outhwaite has been granted a divorce from Tom Ellis.
The 'New Tricks' actress filed for legal separation from the 'Miranda' star last September after he admitted to cheating on her, and District Judge Liza Gordon-Saker issued their necree nisi yesterday (28.04.14) after accepting their union had irretrievably broken down because of the actor's adultery.
Neither Tamzin, 43, nor Tom, 35, were in attendance for the 110-second hearing.
The former 'EastEnders' star - who has daughters Florence, five, and Marnie Mae, 20 months, with Tom - filed for divorce last September amid claims the actor had cheated on her while filming TV movie 'Gothica' in the US.
And despite their separation, Tom insisted shortly afterwards he and Tamzin were "moving forward" and doing fine.
He said: "Everyone is OK. We are all good. Work is a good focus."
The former couple had initially tried to work on their marriage before separating for good.
One pal said after news broke Tamzin had filed for divorce: ''Tamzin desperately tried to make it work.
''Tamzin has cited adultery, so she will have a huge advantage when it comes to negotiations. Tom's a reasonable bloke and as it's pretty cut and dried they could be divorced within months.''
The pair were introduced by mutual friend James McAvoy in 2005 and married a year later.

Vicky Pattison regrets sharing so much of her personal life on 'Geordie Shore'.
The 26-year-old star got engaged to her former fiancé Ricci Guarnaccio on the MTV reality show, but admits if it had been her choice the proposal would have been done privately.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "Obviously I got engaged on 'Geordie Shore', which was not my choice. I think there are certain things that are better kept personal.
"Engagements, marriages, childbirth - I feel are some of those situations."
The former couple - who split after a number of furious rows - were recently reunited on new MTV reality show 'Ex on the Beach', but Vicky admits they will never be friends because of the way their relationship ended.
She said: "We still hate each other. There's been no love lost between me and Ricci. We're just two of those people who were never meant to be together and I think that had it not been for 'Geordie Shore', we would've broken up long before that and would probably have been quite amicable.
"But because we dragged it out, because there was that real sort of ... that element of just torturing each other, it's left it impossible for us to be friends I think."
Vicky claims she is focusing on herself at the moment, but when it comes to future relationships she won't settle for anything less than true love.
She explained: "I love being in love. I love that feeling of lying in bed with someone and there's nowhere else in the world you'd rather be. That's what I want and I'm not going to settle for any imitations."
'Ex on the Beach' continues tonight (29.04.14) at 10pm on MTV.

'Coronation Street's' Lloyd Mullaney will "change his life" after suffering a heart attack.
Actor Craig Charles has revealed his character will see his medical setback as an eye-opener and become more proactive in eating healthy and exercising.
He told ITV's 'Lorraine': "He does have to change his life. Lloyd has to start eating healthy, cutting down on the cigarettes, cutting down on the drinking, [and] going to the gym."
Lloyd also has a new girlfriend, Andrea, played by former 'Emmerdale' star Hayley Tamaddon, but Craig warns that all may not be as it seems between the couple.
He said: "He's got this new girlfriend now, Andrea, and she starts looking after him ... You need to watch that space because Lloyd could easily end up getting his heart broken again. I think there's things afoot there as well."
Craig, 49, admits he was initially shocked when he was told about the heart attack plot as he thought it was the producers' way of telling him he was "fat".
He explained: "Basically it's just the producer telling you that you're getting a bit fat - that's what I thought! I thought, 'Well, after that, I'm going to have to go away and lose some weight!'
"But they had people there who told you how to act while you're having a heart attack and a nurse said that I did very well."

Lee Ryan has deleted his Twitter account.
The 'All Rise' singer took to the official Blue page to inform followers he would be shutting down his personal account, @LeeRyanMusic, and that they could keep up-to-date with him from the account he shares with bandmates Antony Costa, Duncan James and Simon Webb.
He wrote: "Life is such a beautiful thing, too good to waste. Follow me & Blue here as I'm closing my @LeeRyanMusic account // Lee (sic)"
The reflective tweet comes in the wake of Lee's apology in which he admitted to receiving a "wake-up call" following his arrest for drink driving and being found in possession of a Class A drug last month.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "I know I've let people down. Being arrested and ending up in a cell was the biggest wake-up call to me. It made me realise there is a problem I can't keep ignoring. I need to do something about."
The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' star was supposed to check into the Priory over Easter weekend following an intervention from his bandmates, but according to reports he will postpone his stint in rehab to perform a gig abroad with Blue.
