Alexander O’Neal given formal warning for homophobic slur in Celebrity Big Brother

Alexander O'Neal has been given a formal warning for using a homophobic slur on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
In an argument with Perez Hilton, the R & B singer can be heard telling the gossip blogger he has a "silly arse f****t look on your face".
Issuing him with a formal warning, Big Brother said: "As a result of your use of this offensive language, Big Brother is giving you a formal warning.
"If you use this kind of language again, Big Brother may have no choice but to remove you from the house."
Speaking to Big Brother in the diary room, Alexander later apologised for his actions but admitted that he had no remorse to begin with.
He said: "Before when I was angry, I had no remorse. And now I feel a little differently about that - I shouldn't have said that. Period."
The 61-year-old singer also shared his views on the 36-year-old blogger.
He added: "I don't feel comfortable in any corner of this house. Now I'm being taunted.
"I don't think I've met another human being as pathetic as this person. He's just really dog s**t on the bottom of anybody's shoe. Pathetic."
The argument also upset fellow contestant, Katie Hopkins, who told Perez he was "disgusting".
She said: "You've really got to me this time because you've upset the big man. Nobody messes with the big guy, not you.
"You carry on sashaying that pathetic little arse of yours. You are disgusting and you utterly disgust me. Screw you."
Later in the diary room, she explained how the situation was "upsetting" for her.
She added: "But watching somebody taunt a man is upsetting. He just stuck his tongue between that rabbit's ears to taunt Alexander.
"In the end, he's gonna push him too far."

Katie Price thinks Celebrity Big Brother is ‘the worst reality show to do’

Katie Price considers 'Celebrity Big Brother' to be "the worst reality show to do".
The 36-year-old star, who entered the house on Friday night (16.01.15), has appeared on 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' earlier in her career, but regards 'Celebrity Big Brother' as a sterner test.
She revealed: "I'm absolutely s****ing it. This is the worst reality show to do. The jungle is eating bugs, but this is all about mind games and making you do things. I have no idea how I am going to react.
"They have all been there a week and a half, they won't be expecting anyone to go in now and there are so many arguments. I'm nervous and I have no idea how they are going to react to me."
Despite her nervousness, Katie has promised to be herself on the show and has also hit out at fellow contestant Perez Hilton, who she claims is putting on a performance for the cameras.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I know Perez, I've met him in LA and London. Every time I've met him, he has been so quiet and shy, really reclusive. He's putting on an act.
"I don't understand why anyone would go on there and pretend to be something they're not.
"He's not doing himself any favours in my opinion.
"He's been critical, but I don't care. He may have a pop at me, but I will put him in his place.
"I haven't got a game plan, I'm just going to be myself and not take any s***."

Ross Kemp slept through an earthquake

Ross Kemp slept through an earthquake that measured 7.6 on the Richter scale.
The 50-year-old TV presenter was in Mexico filming the latest series of 'Extreme World' - which sees him head to some of the world's most dangerous places - when the earthquake struck.
However, Ross was unmoved by the quake, saying: "I fell asleep and missed an earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale.
"The crew ran out of their room and into the road - so much for team spirit - while Kempy nodded off. I woke up and my bed had moved right across the room. The windows were broken.
"I'm lucky that I can sleep anywhere - helicopters, 4x4s on bumpy ground, armoured personnel carriers, C-130 transporter aircraft.
"It's annoying for everybody else because I snore quite loudly. He who sleeps first, sleeps longest."
Ross has also played down talk of reprising the role of Grant Mitchell in 'EastEnders' for the show's 30th anniversary next month.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I know there's talk at the moment about my going back. "Unfortunately, I won't be able to because I'm working.
"Never say never - I've always said that, and I would act again if the right role came along. According to my teacher at drama school, comedy was what I was good at…."

Dermot O’Leary hates X Factor sob stories

Dermot O'Leary hates listening to sob stories on 'The X Factor'.
The 41-year-old presenter, who is preparing to host this year's National Television Awards, has revealed he gets emotional when filming the show, but not because of the sob stories of the contestants.
He told The Sun newspaper: "It's not the sob stories. I hate the sob-story route so I'm proud that we didn't go down it last year and I sincerely hope we never do it again.
"But emotions do get heightened and the more you get to know the contestants - especially at Boot Camp - the more you care about them.
"I always cry when I'm tired. That's when little things can set me off. Someone will say: 'I miss my dog' and I'll be bawling: 'I miss my cat!' It's ridiculous."
The 'X Factor' host is nominated for Best Entertainment Presenter at the National Television Awards, but says he doesn't expect to win, predicting Ant and Dec will take the award home.
He explained: "Me, Keith Lemon and Bradley Walsh might as well give it to them now. In fact, there should be an award about who's going to be a runner-up to Ant and Dec."

Kym Marsh ‘shocked’ Coronation Street only up for one NTA

Kym Marsh is "shocked" 'Coronation Street' is only up for one National Television Award.
The 38-year-old actress - who plays Michelle Connor on the soap - insists claims show bosses were "seething" at the snub are not accurate but she admitted she feels the show deserved more recognition.
She said: "According to a report, 'Coronation Street' bosses are seething over our lack of National TV Awards nominations, only being up for Best Serial Drama later this month.
"I wouldn't say anyone is seething, but I am personally a little shocked. However, last year we took everything! It's swings and roundabouts, no one's crying into their tea in the Green Room about it...
"People think there's more of a rivalry between soaps than there is - we do watch them and appreciate how hard everyone works."
Despite her shock, Kym insists awards don't really matter.
She said: "Awards are nice, but day to day it's about ratings and we're a very consistent soap."
And the brunette star is confident the soap's storylines will continue to win acclaim in the future.
She added to OK! magazine: "Although the Steve McDonald [Simon Gregson] depression storyline has been really well received, it was probably a bit late for the voting, so maybe it will get something another time."

Katie Price has joined ‘CBB’

Katie Price has joined 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
The 36-year-old star was unveiled the surprise new housemate tonight (16.01.15) after Chloe Goodman was voted out in the first live eviction, and hopes viewers will get to know "the real Katie Price."
The former glamour model, who is reportedly being paid £500,000 by Channel 5 after Ken Morley and Jeremy Jackson were removed from the house for unacceptable behaviour, admitted she only agreed to appear on the show because "the price was right."
Speaking shortly before entering the house, she added: "I haven't done one of those [reality competitions] for a few years so it is a good chance for them to see that I am still the same normal down to earth person."
The brunette beauty was "glued to the show" while recovering from her recent breast reduction, but doesn't think the surgery will affect her behaviour in the house.
She said: "There is a doctor on standby the whole time to keep checking me, but other than that my banter is still there!
"I don't know what I'm going to be like in the house. Most people probably want me to say I'm going to go in there and I'm going to stir the pot. I'm not going to say I'll be like that because until I'm in there, who knows? I might go in the house and become really good friends with Katie Hopkins; you don't know what is going to happen. I will take her as I find her and treat her accordingly. I haven't been in this situation before. I'm a mysterious girl so you will have to wait and see!"
Katie attempted to convince fans she was enjoying a romantic trip to Brussels with husband Kieran Hayler to celebrate their second wedding anniversary before entering the show.

Ryan Sampson wants Rosamund Hanson in Plebs

Ryan Sampson would love Rosamund Hanson to play Grumio's long-lost sister in 'Plebs'.
The 29-year-old actor is keen for the 25-year-old star, who is known for her role as Smell in film and TV series 'This Is England', to play his alter-ego's sibling in the ITV2 comedy and is also hoping the hapless slave gets a romantic interest if the show gets recommissioned for a third series.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "One of my best friends is an actress who would be ideal for Grumio's girlfriend so it would be great if there was a Grumio romance. That's what I want to happen.
"Rosamund Hanson, who plays Smell in 'This is England', would be really good as Grumio's long-lost sister. She's got that vacant look which would be exactly right."
Ryan has been delighted with the guest stars who have appeared in the first two series of the ancient Rome sitcom, especially Danny Dyer - who appeared as gladiator Cassius in the second ever episode - as he revealed the 'EastEnders' star ordered a round of drinks for the cast as soon as he got to the set.
Ryan added: "The first night he got there we were all sitting down around a table having a couple of drinks and he goes, 'Right, Limoncellos for everyone.'
"Then this waitress comes and just pours loads of Limoncellos so it was obviously pre-arranged, which is weird because there's this kind of big, butch guy who likes his lemon-flavoured liqueur and it's his first night here and he'd decided it was a big night out for everyone."
What's more, Ryan also used Danny's cameo appearance to have a bit of fun off-screen by creating a Simon Says-style game about the 37-year-old actor.
He said: "I made this game up called 'Do You Dare Do What Danny Dyer Does Do' and one night we had to match whatever Danny Dyer did.
"The answer to it is - none of us can do what Danny Dyer does do. The man is a machine."
'Plebs' series two is out to own on DVD now.

Katie McGlynn is scared of going on dates

Katie McGlynn "can't be bothered with boys".
The 'Coronation Street' actress claims she's nothing like her on-screen character Sinead Tinker, who's dating Chesney Brown (Sam Aston), as she likes to go out with her female friends and isn't interested in having a boyfriend.
She shared: "I can't be bothered with boys. It is too much effort, it just gets weird. The thought of a date gets me scared.
"It is like an audition. Unless you already know the person, I find it really formal. It is so much pressure, I hate it.
"I like to go out and have a laugh with my friends like you do at 21, not stop in with Chesney every night like Sinead does. I would be bored."
The 21-year-old star - who previously played Jodie 'Scout' Allen in 'Waterloo Road' - admits her dress sense is also a far cry from that of her character on the ITV soap.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Sinead has a very odd style. I love dressing her because it means I am comfy as well. But I love getting glammed up. I am more glamorous, and I get my legs out and stuff. I would say I was more sexy and younger than Sinead, I act more my age."
Katie also revealed her family are over the moon she's landed a role on such a popular show.
She added: "I've been on Corrie about a year and a half and I still feel weird. It is mint. I feel priveleged to be here.
"I used to watch it with my grandad and grandma. They used to joke, 'When are you going to be in this?' And now I am. They are all dead proud."

Anton Du Beke for Great British Bake Off?

Anton Du Beke wants to compete on 'The Great British Bake Off'.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' star has confessed he would love to appear on the BBC One cooking show's celebrity special and is sure to have the upper hand over fellow contestants after working as a trainee baker in his late teens.
He told Magic Radio's Christine Bleakley: "I started off as a baker. That was the job I had the longest really. When I was about 17 I did that for about four or five years - I worked up from just a trainee to a skilled baker.
"If they do a celebrity version of the bake-off again, I might have a go".
However, the 48-year-old TV star thinks competing on the series would be hard work and credits its hosts Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood for their dedication to baking.
He joked: "That's a young man's job. No wonder Paul Hollywood looks so exhausted. Mary Berry's only 25. It's the early mornings that do it to you but I'd like to give it a go."
