Claire King signs Coronation Street contract

Claire King has landed a permanent 'Coronation Street' contract.
The 52-year-old actress hit screens back in December when her character Erica Holroyd had an affair with Nick Tilsley, and it has now been revealed her return will not be fleeting, as she's been made a regular cast member.
A show insider said: "Claire has been absolutely brilliant and the bosses have been very impressed."
However, Erica, who recently returned to Weatherfield to drop the bombshell she is pregnant, is set to experience heartbreak in the coming weeks when she suffers a miscarriage.
Meanwhile, the insider said it was the former 'Emmerdale' and 'Bad Girls' actress' friendship with veteran 'Corrie' star Beverley Callard, who plays Liz McDonald, who helped her to get the role.
They said: "She's done a lot of scenes with Bev and the two get on wonderfully."
The news comes after stars Craig Charles (Lloyd Mullaney) and Alison King (Carla Connor) announced they are quitting the soap after several years on the cobbles.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "We've lost a few people recently, so a signing like this is great news."

BGT choir Cor Glanaethwy costing show ‘a small fortune’

'Britain's Got Talent' act Cor Glanaethwy are "costing the show a small fortune".
The 167-piece choir are favourites to triumph in the show's live final on ITV on Sunday evening (31.05.15), although the Welsh singers have proved problematic for show-makers who have been struggling to cover their expenses.
As well as accommodation, travel and food and drink, ITV and TV firm Talkback Thames are having to pay for stylists and industry required medical and criminal record checks for the choir's adults.
A show insider explained: "Simon absolutely loves Cor Glanaethwy but they are costing the show a small fortune.
"We are responsible for all their accommodation, then their transport to London and between their hotel and the studio.
"Of course we have to make sure that they are fed and watered during rehearsals and the live shows.
"That's not even taking into account the checking process.
"So while it's great having them in the competition, they have blown our budget. They have cost us an extra six figures."
However, judge Simon Cowell believes the six-figure sum spent on the group - who are set to sing 'Hallelujah' in the final - will be worth it, as he is hoping they will go on to make him money when the show finishes.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "There is no limit to the number of people allowed in one act and as far as Simon is concerned bigger is better, but 167 is taking it to an absolute extreme.
"Still, Simon's a wealthy man and if they go on to win the show and make him an absolute fortune in album sales and concert tickets. Then it will have been money very well spent."

Vicky Pattison says sex is ‘least favourite part of a relationship’

Vicky Pattison claims sex is her "least favourite part of a relationship".
The former 'Geordie Shore' star admitted she is on the look out for a new boyfriend because of the sorry state of her love life, but said she doesn't want any lovemaking because she "can't be bothered" to shave her legs.
She said: "Sex is my least favourite part of a relationship - I like the cuddles, a bit of necking on and a game of dominoes. No sex, thanks - it would mean having to shave my legs and I can't be bothered!"
However, the outspoken 27-year-old star confessed she would like a man in her life because it's "depressing" when she has no one to spend her evenings with.
She continued: "My love life is s**te right now. After a day's work, it can be depressing going back to an empty hotel room. It would be nice to have someone to cuddle and share some Haribo with."
And although Vicky quit MTV's 'Geordie Shore' last year, she is hoping the lessons she learnt on the reality show will inform her new programme, 'Judge Geordie', in which she solves people's relationship problems.
She told The Sun newspaper's TV Magazine: "Any problem that people have, from a bullying boss to a cheating boyfriend, I endeavour to solve it. I have had some very tempestuous relationships, and 'Geordie Shore' was a hotbed of dysfunction, so that's my training ground."

Caroline Flack wants to work in a zoo

Caroline Flack wants to work in a zoo.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' champion was recently announced as the new host of 'The X Factor' alongside her former 'Xtra Factor' co-host Olly Murs but she's now revealed she's hoping to land a job working with animals in the future.
She said: "I'd like the idea of doing something completely different and out of my comfort zone one day. I love animals, so maybe I'll try my hand working in a zoo or campaigning for animal rights."
The 35-year-old star confessed it was so hard being away from her new pet cat while on holiday in Los Angeles that she had to video call him.
She shared: "I got a kitten called Waffles a few months ago and I'm obsessed with him. My mum looked after him for me when I was in LA and I missed him so much that I arranged a FaceTime call with him!"
The blonde beauty - who previously dated One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles - also got a tattoo in Waffles' honour.
Caroline added to OK! magazine: "I've never had a pet before and I've grown so attached to him, he's the best company, so I decided to get a paw print behind my ear."

Calum Scott and Danny Posthill through to ‘BGT’ final

Calum Scott and Danny Posthill are through to the 'Britain's Got Talent' live final.
The 26-year-old singer, who auditioned for the first time after his sister received four no's, automatically secured his spot in the final stage of the talent show after receiving the most votes from the public during the fifth and final round of the semi-finals tonight (29.05.15).
Upon hearing the result, he said: "I'm going to come back and smash it."
The recruitment officer also won high praise from judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon following his "fantastic" performance.
Simon added: "I think your voice.. you really sound like a recording artist. I feel very proud, quite happy and very smug right now."
Impressionist Danny, 29, and martial arts expert Jesse-Jane McParland, nine, then went head-to-head in a bid to win over the judges for a spot in the final on Sunday (31.05.15), but the decision was placed back in the hands of the public after David and Alesha chose Danny, while Amanda and Simon selected Jesse-Jane.
Danny was thrilled to be put through and said: "I think Jesse is amazing. I'm looking forward to the final Simon actually."
The judges then announced there will be two wild cards this year, where the judges and the public decide on one former runner-up each to be given a second chance and go through to the final.
Viewers were given the option to vote for either Henry Gallagher, Revelation Avenue, IMD Legion, Boyband or Jesse-Jane and the remaining two finalists will be revealed tomorrow (30.05.15).

‘Big Brother’ replaces four housemates

Four contestants have been replaced on 'Big Brother'.
Amy & Sally Broadbent, Harriet Jackson, Kieran McLeod and Sarah Greenwood, 24, were all evicted in a shock elimination as part of the latest Timebomb Twist tonight (29.05.15) after the nominations were reversed.
But four new housemates gradually entered the house instead, including theatre company owner Simon Gross, who was the first housemate to be evicted from this year's series earlier this month.
The 27-year-old twins were "gutted" to be the first evictees tonight.
The blonde beauties told host Emma Willis: "I think if we knew that we were nominated, we would have been prepared to go. It was just so quick."
Harriet, 22, was the second to be eliminated after being asked to sit in a Timebomb Machine, but was swiftly replaced by glamour model and dominatrix Harry Amelia Martin, 22, who was dressed in a sexy Dorothy from the 'Wizard of Oz' costume.
In her tearful post eviction interview, Harriet said: "I feel s**t. Some f**ker has taken my place in a Dorothy outfit."
But she later added: "This will bring my family closer. I'm so humbled by the experience."
Kieran, 30, was also evicted via the Timebomb Machine and replaced by Irish chemistry student and stripper Marc O'Neill, 29.
Personal trainer Sam Kay, 27, was the third new housemate to be introduced and her first task was to inform Sarah she was eliminated.
Simon, 46, who previously admitted he is determined to carve out a career in showbiz, then re-entered the house and received a mixed reaction from his fellow contestants.

Duncan James: Dressing in drag turns me on

Duncan James says dressing up in drag turns him on.
The Blue singer is preparing to play drag queen Tick in the musical 'Priscilla, Queen of the Desert' and has revealed the idea of taking on a different persona aroused him.
He said: "I've never done drag before but I really got in to it.
"My new role is nothing like I have ever done. Normally I play a metrosexual man but this time is different.
"I can relate to the character so much. He has a 10-year-old son, so do I. He's a gay guy, I'm a gay guy.
"My agent thought it would be a good way to show a different side to me and I really was turned on by that actually."
The 37-year-old star - who came out as gay in 2009 - admits that although he's never done drag professionally before, he has dabbled in wearing women's clothes.
He told the Daily Star Online: "I did it at my birthday party.
"[Former 'Dancing on Ice' judge] Jason Gardiner came to my party at my mum's house and we were very, very drunk.
"Upstairs my mum has a wig and Jason was like, 'Oh my God, you've got to do drag, I'll do you make-up, put your mum's wig on then come down and freak everybody out."
"I was drunk so we just did it, it wasn't nerve wracking."
However, Duncan admits his Blue bandmates - Lee Ryan, Simon Webbe and Antony Costa - weren't too keen on his new look.
He added: "I didn't go all the way and do proper make-up, it was just a bit of mascara and lipstick.
"I came downstairs, the Blue boys were there and everyone was like, 'What the f**k are you doing?' "

Craig Revel Horwood promises same sex couples for Strictly Come Dancign

Craig Revel Horwood has promised there will be a same sex couple on 'Strictly Come Dancing' in the near future.
The 50-year-old star - who, along with Bruno Tonioli, Len Goodman and Darcey Bussell, is a judge on the BBC dance contest - has revealed there are plans to have either two men or two women dance together.
He said: "A same sex couple on 'Strictly' - that is on the cards.
"It'll be either this year or next year, but most certainly, it will happen. They did it already in Hungary or somewhere.
"We should encourage that sort of thing, absolutely. There are competitions throughout the world that have same sex couples, you just have to decide who goes backwards, darling!"
Craig - who has been dating former 'Britain's Got Talent' contestant Damon Scott since 2013 - also confessed he thinks BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw would be a great addition to the judging panel of rival show, 'The X Factor'.
He told OK! Online: "Nick Grimshaw would be good. I think it's good to change panels, although I'm pleased that Strictly haven't!
"Simon Cowell is always trying to fight back. He stole Alesha from us, now he's stolen our winner Caroline Flack, it's amazing isn't it?
"Strictly is the next stepping stone to one of Simon's shows."

Chris Pratt’s wife loves The Only Way Is Essex

Chris Pratt has confessed his wife Anna Faris is obsessed with 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
The 'Jurassic World' star - who has been married to the 'House Bunny' actress since 2009 - has revealed watching the ITVBe reality show with his wife meant he was able to perfect his Essex accent.
Speaking on an episode of 'The Graham Norton Show' - which airs on BBC One tonight (29.05.15) - he said: "When I was filming 'Guardians of the Galaxy' in the UK we watched a lot of garbage TV and my wife [Anna Faris] went crazy for TOWIE. She fell in love with the show and I started picking up the accent so now the only British one I can do is an Essex one."
In addition to speaking about his wife's love for 'TOWIE' and it's stars - who include Gemma Collins, Chloe Sims and Bobby Norris - the actor also opened up about being "reprimanded" by his 'Parks and Recreation' bosses for showing too much flesh on the US comedy.
He explained: "We were shooting a scene where my character turns up naked at my co-star's door. I was wearing skin-coloured underwear and I wasn't getting quite the right reaction I was hoping for. It was late in the day so I decided to improvise and drop my trousers for the take.
"Then I got a letter from NBC's HR department that said, 'There is a protocol about nude scenes. This is not a joke and you are being reprimanded and you can't go around telling people about this like some kind of joke'. I've framed the letter."
