James May slams Top Gear issues

James May thinks Chris Evans is deliberately faking the filming problems 'Top Gear' has recently endured.
The 53-year-old television presenter - who used to front the programme alongside Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond - is convinced the issues dealt to the motoring show recently is just an elaborate hoax to lower the expectations of the viewers when it returns to screens.
Speaking on 'This Morning' today (26.01.16), he said: "That's my theory. To be brutally honest that's what I'd do. I would make out it was all going terribly."
Chris, who recently signed a three-year deal to front the programme, sparked concern among fans earlier this month when he was spotted being sick following a drive in a plush Audi R8 V10 with co-star Sabine Schmitz.
James added: "The picture of Chris supposedly being sick while he was driving a car. Was he being sick? I look a lot more contorted when I'm sick."
Meanwhile, despite claiming 'Top Gear' is faking the problems, James is keen for Chris to do well.
He said recently: "I'd like to see Chris' 'Top Gear' do well. It's a ballsy call to continue it. I wouldn't want to be the one presenting it when we'd just finished, but there must be a way of reinventing it. We always said it would survive beyond us."
'Top Gear' is set to return to screens on May 8.

Sid Owen to return to EastEnders?

Sid Owen would return to 'EastEnders' "in a heartbeat".
The 44-year-old actor's alter-ego Ricky Butcher was last seen leaving Albert Square in 2012 but he would welcome the chance to return to Walford if he was asked by bosses.
He said: "If they asked me, I'd go back in a heartbeat. 'EastEnders' was a big and very integral part of my life, so I'd always consider going back. I'm not sick of being Ricky just yet!"
Sid doesn't get chance to watch the soap very often, but was very impressed with last year's week of live episodes.
He said "I live in France, so I'm rarely in the country to watch it. I tapped into it around the 30th anniversary last year and thought it was 'EastEnders' at its best."
And it seems Sid, who competed on 'Strictly Come Dancing in 2012, has had a change of heart, as three years ago he insisted he was retired from acting.
He said at the time: "I hope that you will never see me on your TV screens because I'm done."
Meanwhile, the handsome star is set to compete on the forthcoming series of 'The Jump' and, although he's looking forward to taking part in the winter sports contest, he can't help but worry about the possibility of getting injured.
He told OK! magazine: "I probably won't be as competitive as some of the athletes but I'll give it a good go. I'd like to go home without any broken bones, that's my main priority."

Gillian McKeith to enter CBB house

Gillian McKeith is to enter the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house.
The 'You Are What You Eat' nutritionist, who has earnt the nickname 'Dr Poo' by inspecting people's poop to assess their diet, is set to shake things up in the infamous abode by enforcing a strict ban on sugar, alcohol and cigarettes.
A source told The Daily Star newspaper: "The show will end up being nicknamed Celebrity Bog Brother.
"Gillian is going to cause havoc in there with her rule book. Expect tears, tantrums and walkouts. It is bound to tip some housemates over the edge."
Gillian's rumoured arrival comes just a week after David Gest and the late David Bowie's ex-wife Angie Bowie decided to leave the turbulent house due to poor health.
It's not known for sure when the tough-talking health guru, 56, will join the housemates but it's thought she could enter as a special guest in tonight's episode (26.01.16) when the celebrities get stuck in to a new shopping task.
Meanwhile, 'Celebrity Big Brother' presenter Emma Willis set tongues wagging about a new housemate earlier this week when she teased the "soon" arrival of a contestant.
Initially, fans thought Stephanie Davis' boyfriend Sam Reece had agreed to enter in a bid to confront the actress about her flirtatious antics with model Jeremy McConnell.
However, Sam poured cold water on the rumours earlier this week but wished the person - now known to be Gillian - who is entering the "mad house" the best of luck.
He said on Twitter: "It's not me but good luck whoever goes into the mad house (sic)."

Peter Capaldi could leave Doctor Who in 2017

Peter Capaldi will reportedly leave 'Doctor Who' in 2017 so new showrunner Chris Chibnall can have a "fresh start".
It was revealed at the weekend that current executive producer Steven Moffat is leaving the sci-fi programme after making Series 10 to hand over the reins to the 'Broadchurch' creator.
Now it has been claimed Capaldi's tenure in the TARDIS as the Twelfth Doctor will come to an end so Chibnall can cast his own choice of Time Lord.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Bosses are already discussing a fresh start when Steven Moffat leaves.
"They've been happy with what Peter has brought to the role but some think it might make sense to give Chris his own choice of actor to play the Doctor. They hope he will be able to find someone who can have the same impact as Matt Smith did when Steven Moffat kicked off his run as executive producer."
The 57-year-old actor took on the titular part in 2013, replacing the departing Matt Smith in that year's Christmas special 'The Time of the Doctor'. Earlier that year, Capaldi also made a brief cameo in his TARDIS in the 50th anniversary episode 'The Day of the Doctor'.
He has appeared in two series so far and the 2017 run of shows would be his third.
A BBC spokesperson has confirmed Capaldi is signed up for the 2017 series but moving forward they added: "We don't discuss contracts."
Moffat has worked on series for the last six years after taking on the job as showrunner from Russell T. Davies in 2009 and being given the daunting task of replacing the super-popular Tenth Doctor David Tennant with Smith.
Speaking about his decision to walk away from position next year, life-long 'Whovian' Moffat said: "It feels odd to be talking about leaving when I'm just starting work on the scripts for season 10, but the fact is my timey-wimey is running out. While Chris is doing his last run of 'Broadchurch', I'll be finishing up on the best job in the universe and keeping the TARDIS warm for him."

Joe Swash is dating Stacey Solomon?

Joe Swash is reportedly dating Stacey Solomon.
The ex-'EastEnders' actor has sparked rumours he's romancing the former 'X Factor' star after they were spotted enjoying a romantic spa weekend in Bedfordshire recently.
A source said: "They were totally loved up as they enjoyed a night together at the spa to celebrate Joe's birthday."
And it seems Joe, 34, is smitten with Stacey, 26, as he's had a crush on the loud-mouthed beauty since 2010.
An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper at the time: "Joe really fancies Stacey. He was gutted to hear she is dating someone but thinks he may still have a chance."
Speculation Joe and Stacey are dating comes just four months after the blonde singer split from Steve-O, following just six months of dating, after meeting him on 'The Jump'.
A source said: "Stacey found it hard being away from Steve-O so they decided to put their relationship on hold."
Meanwhile, Stacey has two children, Zachary, seven, and Leighton, three, from two previous relationships, while Joe has eight-year-old son Harry with Emma Sophocleous.
The 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' spin-off presenter was previously in a relationship with his former co-star Kara Tointon, who played his on-screen sister Dawn, until 2010.

Jerry Springer joins Good Morning Britain

Jerry Springer is set to join 'Good Morning Britain'.
The controversial talk show host, 71, will appear in the US segment of the breakfast programme to cover the forthcoming presidential election as he reviews candidates' TV performances and discusses the results with Americans.
He said: "I'm excited about joining 'Good Morning Britain' in bringing stateside coverage of this year's American Election, which so far is looking more outrageous than the chaos normally seen on my television show.
"The consequences of the campaign, as well as the results, will impact much, if not all, of the world."
And that's not all as Jerry, who is known for fronting 'The Jerry Springer Show', will join 'GMB' live from Washington in November to reveal the results as it happens.
Meanwhile, 'GMB' co-host Piers Morgan probably had something to do with Jerry landing the gig as they know one another from working on 'America's Got Talent' in 2006.
Piers explained: "I got to know Jerry very well.
"He's an incredibly astute political thinker and I can't wait to hear his take on what is already the most widely debated US election campaign for decades."

Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood get £100k pay rise

Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood are reportedly getting an
£100,000 pay rise for the new series of 'The Great British Bake Off'.
The 80-year-old television personality and her 49-year-old co-judge on the BBC One show are set to pocket £600,000 per series.
Of the contract for the show, which renews after the coming series, a source told The Sun newspaper: "There's no doubt that they will have to pay more for it this time."
Their last pay increase took place when the popular show moved from BBC Two to BBC One, moving to £500,000 each.
With the added cash, Paul can put it towards his goal of losing two stone.
He told BANG Showbiz previously: "I'm doing another programme at the moment, which is all about racing cars. I'm losing weight and started training last week for the racing. I'm doing racing for British GT Championships."
When asked how much he wants to lose, he added: "Two stone."
Paul is also busy with 'The Great Sport Relief Bake Off', admitting there is a "good standard" of celebrity bakers this year.
He said: "It's a good standard this year. David James was hilarious. Jason Manford was good. I didn't realise how much Geri Horner was into her baking. Geri did an amazing job."

Ex on the Beach cast would be ‘dead’ without security

Megan McKenna thinks everyone on 'Ex on the Beach' would be "dead" if they didn't have security on the show.
The brunette beauty returned to the MTV reality programme to film the fourth series and admits there were so many aggressive moments between the housemates in the Portuguese villa that she feared for her life.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Nobody was scared to have a row. Thank god there was security there otherwise I reckon all of us would be f***ing dead.
"I think the producers go round to each and every area and pick out the craziest, most opinionated person and put them in one house. It's like a recipe for disaster. I had more arguments than fun-filled action."
Nancy-May Turner recalled: "One time a wooden chair flew into the Jacuzzi and smashed. It flew past my face and I was like, 'Did that really just happen?!' It was still in there the next morning. We couldn't go in there for a bit."
Megan admits the constant disputes between the reality stars made her want to go home, but she would still return for another series of the show if she was asked.
She added: "The last time I went I really missed but this time after filming I thought, 'Oh my god, I can't wait to get home.' This is horrible.
"I would do it again. There's always going to be someone I don't get on with. That's the type of person I am."

Alesha Dixon to produce TV show based on Simon and David’s egos?

Alesha Dixon wants to produce a television show based on Simon Cowell and David Walliams' "huge egos."
The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge believes it will make for great entertainment if she creates a programme that sees the big boss and the comedian battle it out to be crowned the person with the biggest ego following their panel antics on-screen.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "The next thing I'd like to produce on television is called 'Battle of the Egos' starring Simon Cowell and David Walliams.
"How many books have you sold? How many records have you sold? And it's all day - it's like tennis, it goes back and forth. And it's like, who can out do who, whose balls are bigger than whose? My balls are bigger than your balls."
And the brunette beauty has seen first hand how the show will play out as David, 44, and Simon, 56, are constantly trying to make jibes at one another when they shoot 'BGT'.
But their cheeky behaviour will certainly have fans in hysterics as their pointless bickering keeps her and Amanda Holden entertained "all day" when they're doing auditions.
She added: "It's like being with little kids but it's brilliant through. It keeps Amanda and I entertained all day."
