TV Choice Awards: Danny Dyer and Jack P Shepherd on longlist

Danny Dyer and Jack P. Shepherd are on the longlist for this year’s TV Choice Awards.
The annual ceremony will take place on September 9 at The Hilton on Park Lane, London with ‘Pointless’ star Richard Osman returning as host, and with the first round of voting open big names from the likes of ‘EastEnders’, ‘Coronation Street’, ‘Emmerdale’ and ‘Hollyoaks’ will battle for the top prizes.
Albert Square actor Danny’s performances as Mick Carter have placed him on the ballot for best soap actor, with co-stars Ricky Champ (Stuart Highway) and Zack Morris (Keegan Baker) also representing.
For ‘Corrie’, Jack is joined by Mikey North (Gary Windass) and Rob Mallard (Daniel Osbourne), while ‘Emmerdale’ has its chance with Ryan Hawley (Robert Sugden), Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle) and Matthew Wolfenden (David Metcalfe).
The longlist for the prize is rounded off by ‘Hollyoaks’ trio Aedan Duckworth (Oliver Morgan), Hollyoaks Channel 4 Gregory Finnegan (James Nightingale) and Adam Woodward (Brody Hudson).
The best actress voting is similarly stacked, with ‘Corrie’ stars Dolly-Rose Campbell (Gemma Winter), Katie McGlynn (Sinead Tinker) and Alison King (Carla Connor) in with a shot opposite ‘Emmerdale’ trio Louisa Clein (Maya Stepney), Isabel Hodgins (Victoria Barton) and Roxy Shahidi (Leyla Harding).
As with the actor category, the first round of voting features three names from each soap, and representing ‘EastEnders’ will be Gillian Wright (Jean Slater), Lorraine Stanley (Karen Taylor) and Maisie Smith (Tiffany Butcher).
‘Hollyoaks’ will also be in the running with Stephanie Davis (Sinead Shelby), Lauren McQueen (Lily McQueen) and Anna Passey (Sienna Blake) on the list.
There are also some talented stars up for a newcomer nomination, including ‘Emmerdale’ actress Natalie Ann Jamieson (Amy Wyatt), Max Bowden (Ben Mitchell) from ‘EastEnders’ and ‘Corrie’s’ Peter Ash (Paul Foreman).
Initial voting to determine the shortlist will run on www.tvchoicemagazine.co.uk from Tuesday (14.05.19) until May 31.
