Trespassers tried to rob Diana’s grave

Trespassers have attempted to rob Princess Diana’s grave four times.
The Princess of Wales’ brother Charles, Earl Spencer, has revealed the late Princess’ burial site in the family’s Althorp estate has seen four "attempted break-ins" since her untimely death.
Charles said: "We’ve had four attempted break-ins towards her body in the last 20 years and I’m very glad we’ve seen all of them off. There are some odd people out there and keeping her right here is the safest place."
The family had first planned to bury Diana in the family tombs at a nearby church but decided it would be "impractical" because the village would be "overrun".
He told BBC Radio 4’s Today: "Originally we were going to bury Diana in the family tombs nearby but it wasn’t to be. Both because it was impractical and because it would mean the local village being overrun."
And Charles previously revealed he chose to bury his sister at their childhood home because he "wanted to keep her safe".
He said: "It seemed natural [to bury her at home] as I wanted to keep her safe … There was such a whipped up feeling of emotion everywhere that I was very worried about where we could safely bury her."
Meanwhile, journalist and broadcaster Piers Morgan previously revealed he thinks Diana’s sons Prince William and Prince Harry are "ensuring the legacy" of their mother is "protected".
He shared: "Many worried the royals wouldn’t survive her death. But they have, and aside from the wondrously consistent and calming majesty of The Queen, that is mainly down to her sons … William and Harry are now ensuring her legacy is protected, remembered and nurtured, and the Monarchy isn’t allowed to slide away into overly formal irrelevance."
