Touker Suleyman says Only Fools and Horses was ‘highlight’ of Christmas

Touker Suleyman says the ‘Only Fools and Horses’ Christmas specials were the "highlight" of his festive season.
The ‘Dragons Den’ star is a huge fan of the long-running BBC comedy series – which aired from 1981 to 2003 – and he revealed that the sitcom could "easily" be made into a feature film adaptation for the big screen because of how popular the episodes have remained.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the press premiere of ‘Only Fools and Horses: The Musical’ on Tuesday (19.02.19): "Listen, those Christmas specials of Only Fools and Horses were the highlight of our Christmas. And there were hour-long or so episodes – of course it could be made into a film. Easy peasy."
The 65-year-old star also confessed that he can spot a dodgy character trying their luck on the show because everyone has a side of Del Boy in them.
He added: "Everyone can spot a Del Boy who comes into the Den, you know why? Because there’s a bit of Del Boy in all of us!"
Suleyman will be returning to his seat on the BBC show alongside "Dragons" Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones and Tej Lalvani for the new series of the entrepreneur show later this year, however the bosses are yet to find a replacement for Jenny Campbell, who quit ‘Dragon’s Den’ last month.
The 57-year-old entrepreneur has been a "Dragon" on the BBC Two investment show since series 15 in 2017, but has decided that she wants to focus on her work for the Prince’s Trust Enterprise Fellowship Programme, which sees the businesswoman help the next generation make their business ideas a reality.
