Tori Kelly is engaged.
The 24-year-old singer/songwriter is set to tie the knot with basketball player André Murillo, who she has been dating since December 2016, and took to Instagram to share the news.
She posted a picture of them together, in which her diamond sparkler is clearly visible, and wrote: "I love you."
André also shared a picture of them embracing on his own Instagram page and he wrote: "To have and to hold… to cherish and protect. My best friend said ‘yes’."
And he recently posted a picture of them together, with the caption "Lucked up".
André, 27, had been playing basketball for Hamburg Towers and the Rostock Seawolves in Germany but is back in the US after suffering an ankle injury earlier this year.
Kelly is currently working on a new album and it could feature some information about her romance as she recently revealed takes inspiration from her own life.
She said: "I think I just write about normal life, whatever I’m going through and lately I’ve been inspired by other people’s stories. I think I got to a point where I was like, ‘I’m bored of writing about myself all the time. So, what’s your story? Tell me about your life.’ And I’ll kind of try to see through their perspective."
Meanwhile, Tori recently spoke about her new country collaboration with Chris Lane on ‘Take Back Home Girl’.
She said: "I got a random text message from my manager sending me the song and he was like, ‘Do you like it?’ and I was like, ‘I actually am obsessed with it’. He didn’t even tell me the artist or anything and we were like, ‘Cool! Let’s do it.’
"I’ve always loved country music. [But I] never actually did anything in the country world, so this was huge for me."
