Top Gear dealt another blow as Brad Pitt pulls out of filming

‘Top Gear’ has been dealt a new blow after Brad Pitt reportedly pulled out of filming last minute.
The newly-revamped show – which is fronted by Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc – was hoping to get off to a speedy start by recruiting the ‘By The Sea’ actor for the ‘Star in a Reasonably Priced Car’ segment but have now had to replace him with Jesse Eisenberg and Gordon Ramsay.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Brad has obviously had filming issues so they’ve had to quickly find another Hollywood name and came up with Jesse.
"He played Lex Luthor in the latest ‘Batman vs Superman’ movie, but is not a heartthrob or a name anything like Brad. Chris Evans is not known in the US so they’ve had to bring in two guests instead of one each week to build the brand out there. Gordon is a huge US TV star so that will help – but it’s not the start Chris or the producers wanted really."
Celebrity chef Gordon, 49, was seen driving around the racetrack at Dunsfold Park, Surrey in a MINI and was given a pep talk by the Stig during a short break.
Meanwhile, Chris previously admitted filming ‘Top Gear’ is like nothing he has experienced before.
He said: "I have never experienced anything in my career that comes close to what it’s like to make a single film for ‘Top Gear’, let alone a whole hour show, let alone a whole series. There is nothing like it anywhere else in the world of TV.
"Every scene could be from a movie, every moment teetering on the brink somewhere between disaster and triumph. The vast majority of television I have been involved with in the past has been much more ‘of the moment’, more disposable if you like, as well as being usually live or ‘as live’. All of which is so NOT ‘Top Gear’. It’s more akin to a ‘Bond’ movie. By the time each episode is broadcast, 95 per cent of its content will have been edited to within an inch of its life to be tighter, brighter and jump off the screen and down your throat."
