Tom Holland still shocked to be Spider-Man

Tom Holland will never "get used to" playing ‘Spider-Man’ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 21-year-old actor made his first outing as the webslinger in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and then received critical acclaim for his performance in this year’s standalone movie ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, but Holland admitted being a big screen superhero is something will always struggle to get his head around because he was just the "small kid" at school.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Thursday (07.12.17) while promoting a new campaign for The Brother’s Trust – a charity set up by Holland to raise money for charitable causes around the world – he said: "It’s not really something you can get used to. I mean, when you’re a kid from Kingston who was the smallest kid on the rugby pitch it doesn’t really make sense that now I’m a superhero.
"I think the beautiful thing about being a superhero is that you get to do things like this. I mean if you’re a superhero on screen you should try to be real heroes in life. Our motto for the Spider-Man tour was ‘real heroes don’t wear capes’ or something like that. It was about helping to make a difference."
Holland – who grew up in Kingston-upon-Thames in South East England – is set to return as Spidey in the highly-anticipated ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and in the first trailer for the movie, his iconic character is seen wearing brand new high-tech suit.
‘Avengers: Infinity War’ will see the hero squad – Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) – join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to save the Earth.
The two teams will have to work together to fight intergalactic tyrant Thanos, with some help from newcomers Spider-Man (Holland), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Dr Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and will mark the screen debut of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).
