Tom Holland finishes filming Spider-Man: Homecoming

Tom Holland has confirmed the filming for ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ is complete.
The 20-year-old actor – who will reprise his role as the Marvel superhero in the eagerly-anticipated movie – shared a picture of the crew heading home on Monday (02.09.16) by a private jet, and insisted they were happy with the work they’ve done, despite feeling tired.
Alongside the photo posted on Instagram, he wrote: "Our last day on @sidermanhomecoming and this how we are feeling we got this! hahah (sic)"
The forthcoming movie features Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Zendaya Coleman as Peter Parker’s [Holland] love interest, Mary-Jane Watson and Jon Favreau is to reprise his ‘Iron Man’ character.
The 49-year-old actor played Happy Hogan – Iron Man’s personal driver – in the first three films in the franchise, and he will resurrect his alter ego for the webslinger’s first full feature film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Downey Jr. played Tony Stark and Iron Man in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ which marked Tom Holland’s debut as Spider-Man, but Favreau’s character was absent from that film.
The revelation comes after several other actors have been confirmed for the movie, including Michael Keaton as villain Vulture, Logan Marshall-Green as another baddie, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May once again.
Meanwhile, Zendaya’s casting as Mary-Jane has caused outrage among many comic book fans unhappy that an actress with African/American heritage will be portraying a character traditionally depicted as white and red-headed.
‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ was being filmed in Atlanta and is pencilled in for a 7 July 2017 release date.
