Tom Fletcher named Celebrity Dad of the Year

Tom Fletcher has been named Celebrity Dad of the Year 2016.
The McFly star beat off competition from a host of star fathers, including last year’s winner Gary Barlow, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson and Benedict Cumberbatch, to be chosen as icelolly.com Celebrity Dad of the Year in an open vote by the British public.
He said: "It’s awesome to have been voted icelolly.com celebrity dad of the year 2016 and I’d like to thank everyone who voted for me.
"Being a father of two cheeky little humans is the most incredible, life changing experience and my boys are the reason I get out of bed every morning…extremely early, EVERY morning! It’s definitely a balancing act between my career and family life but being a father has totally made me more driven and ambitious as now I’m doing everything for them and their future."
Tom has sons Buzz and Buddy with wife Giovanna, 31, who was crowned Celebrity Mum of the Year earlier this year.
This is the second time Tom has won this award, previously picking up the accolade in 2014 and he joked that he might have to have another child in order to compete again.
He told OK! Online: "I’m a double dad now, because I’ve got two little boys, I’ve had another little boy since I won last time, so maybe I’ve got an award for each kid now.
"So I’ll have to try and keep winning.
"We’re amazingly lucky to have 2 incredible boys," he said.
"But if we have any more down the line, whether it would be a girl or a boy, that would be amazing."
Peter Andre, Bear Grylls, ‘Top Gear’s Chris Evans, England and Leicester City ace Jamie Vardy, Jason Donovan and Elliott Wright completed this year’s shortlist.
