Tokio Myers has big plans for next Britain’s Got Talent set

Tokio Myers has vowed to take viewers to "another level" if he makes the semi-finals of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
The 32-year-old multi-instrumentalist has wowed all four judges on the ITV talent show – Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden – and has big plans in place to secure his place in the next round so he can hopefully make it to the live semi-final show on May 29.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the Novotel London Canary Wharf launch party, he said: "Fingers crossed I get through to the next stage and if I do get through the semi-final rounds I can’t really give anything away, all I can say is if people liked what they saw the first time around (the Ed Sheeran track ‘Bloodstream’ and Clair De Lume’s ‘Claude Debussy’) then this is going to be another level."
Tokio admitted he is hoping to do a performance where he goes from drum ‘n’ bass and solo piano and have "visuals and bring out artists and collaborate for one big celebration of music".
When asked whether we could expect him to bring out dancers for his next ‘BGT’ set, he remained tight-lipped, but said: "I can’t say – it would be giving too much away. I don’t want anybody to have any idea of what’s going to happen and for everyone to witness it for the very first time. I think it’s important for that to happen and then everyone can go away and talk about it.
"I’ve got big plans, I really have and I’ve got different sets for different occasions and obviously I’m at a stage where no one knows who I am depending on where I am I have to play a certain style of music, but I posted a few tracks online and they’re all showcasing different elements and styles and it’s great that people are liking all of these different things."
And despite his confident performances – both on TV and at the Novotel party – he admitted he still gets nervous.
He said: "Of course I’m still nervous and I’m still trying stuff out, but it all comes with fans and support. When you walk onto a stage and you know everyone likes you, you’re going to have that confidence and you’re going to want to do well but at this stage I’m still a bit like, ‘oh is everyone going to like me?’ Honestly the love has been great."
Britain’s Got Talent’s Tokio Myers performed at the Novotel London Canary Wharf party at BOKAN Restaurant, Bar and Rooftop Terrace on Thursday evening (18.05.17).
