Tinie Tempah to release LP in early-2016

Tinie Tempah will release his next album in early-2016.

The ‘Trampoline’ hitmaker is currently in the studio working on the LP and revealed he is making good progress on the collection so is confident it will be released at the beginning of next year.

Speaking at MTV Crashes Plymouth, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It’s going well. I’m still recording so I’ll probably bring it out at the start of the year I reckon."

However, the 26-year-old rapper – who has already released the first single ‘ Not Letting Go’ from the as-yet untitled album – was coy about details and gave no hints about whether he has collaborated with Labrinth again, having previously worked with him on 2010’s ‘Disc-Overy’ and 2013’s ‘Demonstration’.

Asked if Labrinth will be part of the record, he teased: "Ooh you never know, you never know."

Although anticipation is rising for his new music, Tinie – whose real name is Patrick Okogwu Jr. – insisted he is feeling no pressure, adding he felt much more stressed when making his second LP.

He explained: "I think album number two is the pressure album, so I don’t feel any pressure anymore. I got over the other side, if you want to put it like that, so I’m just having fun now and creating. It’s only like one per cent of artists that get to the third album stage so I’m really happy with it."

‘MTV Crashes Plymouth’ will air on MTV Music at 9pm on August 7 2015.
