Tilly Keeper lands first post-EastEnders role

Tilly Keeper has landed her first post-‘EastEnders’ role.
The 22-year-old star’s departed Walford in January after four years on the BBC One soap as Louise Mitchell, and the actress is now "thrilled" to have landed a part in Reggie Yates’ BBC Three drama’Make Me Famous’.
She said: "I’m thrilled to be a part of this project. It’s a really important story that I think we could all learn something from."
The drama, which will explore the impact and consequences of fast fame on reality TV contestants and their close friends and family, will feature Tom Brittney, Amanda Abbington, Aiysha Hart, Nina Sosanya and former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress Emma Rigby.
In December, Tilly said she was leaving ‘EastEnders’ on a high after her character Louise Mitchell arranged for her fiance Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) to be murdered.
Louise was horrified to discover Keanu was the father of her stepmother Sharon Mitchell’s (Letitia Dean) baby, and she went to extreme lengths to get her revenge, setting Keanu up to be murdered by Martin Fowler (James Bye) – although Martin didn’t end up going through with the deed.
Tilly said at the time: "What a way to go out. I’m leaving on a high, I’ve had a really great year and I’ve really enjoyed working on this story, and it’s given me something to get my teeth into, so I’ve really loved it.
"It’s been a really good challenge for me, and I just think how lucky am I? I’ve had a really great year working with Tish and Danny, and Max [Bowden – who plays Ben Mitchell] and James towards the end, I’ve had everything that I could’ve asked for.
"[Executive producer] Jon Sen and [‘EastEnders’ boss] Kate Oates definitely delivered for me, so I’m just really grateful to have this story, and that can be my little piece while I go off and try other things."
