‘There’s been enough said about this band…’ Liam Gallagher denies Oasis reunion doc is in the works

Liam Gallagher has denied an Oasis reunion documentary is in the works.

The 52-year-old frontman insists the Britpop legends’ comeback gigs next year – which will see him and his formerly estranged sibling, guitarist Noel, 57, back onstage for the first time since 2009 – will speak for themselves after years of “yapping and scrapping”.

And he shut down claims top studios are in a fierce bidding war to land the rights to a film about the reunion.

A fan on X asked: “How’s the new doco filming going? (sic)”, prompting Liam to reply: “We’re not doing 1 I’m not gonna be in it anyway I’m doing the gigs there’s been enough said about this band it’s time to get Rocking and Rolling not yapping and scrapping. (sic)”

The brothers are also not planning to give any joint interviews ahead of the ‘Oasis Live ’25 Tour’, which kicks off in Cardiff on July 4.

Liam responded to another fan: “Exactly we’ve been over this b****x a million times and some people have different versions to others we’re back and that’s all that matters to me and should donto the REAL fans of the band (sic)”

A source had told The Sun on Sunday that Apple TV+ bosses were battling to sign them up for a big-money documentary about their reunion.

They claimed: “This is set to be the film of the decade, with Apple TV+ proposing huge money to bag the rights to this documentary.

“They are facing competition from other streamers such as Amazon Prime and Netflix but Apple have thrown all their weight behind this one.

“Fans can expect it to be in the same style as the Beatles documentary (2021’s ‘Get Back’ from Disney+) which gave a never-before-seen insight into the band.”

This week, it was also claimed that Richard Ashcroft and Cast will support Oasis.

Speculation has been rife about whether they would recruit fellow 90s’ stars as warm-up acts.

A report in The Independent this week claimed indie group Cast will perform first before former The Verve frontman Richard, 53, takes to the stage ahead of Oasis at the shows.

Representatives for Oasis declined to comment on the rumour, but it is understood support act confirmation is expected next week.

Richard has a long history with Oasis – and his wild 90s’ antics were the inspiration behind Oasis’ 1995 song ‘Cast No Shadow’.

Cast supported Oasis at Knebworth in 1996 and split in 2001 before they reformed in 2010, and their seventh album ‘Love is the Call’ came out in February.

Oasis are set to be supported on their North America shows by US rock band Cage the Elephant, but no support act for their shows in Australia has been announced.

Manic Street Preachers have also been rumoured as a possible back-up group for Oasis.

The report about Richard and Cast comes weeks after Liam teased Oasis fans on social media about the prospect Richard – as well as their old Britpop rivals Blur – and the Manic Street Preachers supporting the band on their reunion gigs.
