The Shires keen to form Little Big Town supergroup

The Shires want to form a supergroup with Little Big Town.
British country duo Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes would love to team up with the US group – who they toured with last year – and have also set their sights on collaborating with Dolly Parton at Glastonbury.
Ben exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "We’ve always said we would love to sing with Lady Antebellum or maybe we could do a super group with Little Big Town and do some six part harmonies."
Crissie added: "To sing with someone like Dolly Parton would be amazing – a dream of ours is to be playing Glastonbury and she comes out and sings a song with us. That would be incredible."
The pair – who also recently supported The Corrs – will release their second studio album, ‘My Universe’, on October 7 and the duo took inspiration from Coldplay when they were working on their upcoming record.
Ben added: "We love playing live and when we were writing the album, after supporting the Corrs and Little Big Town and playing big stadium venues – we wrote songs that we thought could fill out bigger venues on our next tour, songs for people to dance to, to have a great time.
"It’s definitely a different kind of writing on the album – like Coldplay their albums got bigger and bigger sound-wise, as they progressed – that’s kind of what we’ve gone for on this album – we just want to keep playing bigger and bigger shows.
"In the years to come, headlining Wembley – that would be amazing. Maybe we could do it like Ed Sheeran – with just the two of us."
The Shires’ new single Beats To Your Rhythm is out now and new album ‘My Universe’ will be released on 7 October on Decca.
