The Prince of Wales visits the site of Manchester terror attack

The Prince of Wales visited Manchester Arena on Monday (26.06.17) one month after the terror attack hit the city.
The 68-year-old royal took a trip to the site where the horrific ordeal, which took place after Ariana Grande’s concert at the popular venue last month, left around 23 people dead and more injured.
Prince Charles was accompanied by his wife Duchess Camilla during the visit, which saw the couple venture to the arena before they took part in a round-table discussion and reception at Manchester Town Hall in the afternoon.
And it has been reported by the Telegraph Online that the pair spoke with members of the emergency services who were on hand to assist following the incident, as well as community leaders.
However, Charles and Camilla are not the only members of the royal family to visit the site in the wake of the suicide bombing, as Charles’ oldest son Prince William, 35, made a surprise appearance in the city earlier this month.
During the Duke of Cambridge’s visit he ventured to Greater Manchester Police headquarters where he spoke to the officers who were first on the scene at the Manchester Arena after Salman Abedi detonated a bomb.
The prince subsequently visited Manchester Cathedral, where he was introduced to first responders and members of the local community who treated people caught up in the blast.
Prince William also signed the Book of Condolence at Manchester Cathedral and paid tribute to the city’s "strength and togetherness" following the terrifying ordeal because he was desperate to thank those who were affected by the attack for their "strength, decency and kindness".
Speaking previously a Kensington Palace spokesperson said: "The Duke wanted to acknowledge and thank the people of Manchester for their strength, decency and kindness."
