The Prince of Wales attends fishing training programme

The Prince of Wales took part in a fishing training programme earlier this week.
The 68-year-old royal – who is currently married to Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall – attended a Fishing into the Future scheme, which took place at Thainstone House Hotel in Inverurie, Scotland, on Tuesday (13.06.17), the Inverurie Herald Online has reported.
The organisation was set up to help make fisheries become a more sustainable business and has been supported by The Prince’s Charities International Sustainability Unit as well as the Seafish and the Gulf of Maine Research Institute.
And due to the growing support the company has received, including the extra help of the ISU into the Fishing into the Future (FITF), they have been able to set up a variety of workshops – with the first one launching four years ago in 2013 – where fisherman, scientists, managers and other people involved in the fishing sector across the globe can meet and discuss the fishing business to make a future agenda and target goals for them to achieve in the future.
After Prince Charles’ visit to the organisation, he later made his way to Peterhead where he met with young people who have taken part in the Prince’s Trust Team Programme, as well as pupils at the Scottish Maritime Academy.
Charles – who has sons Prince William, 34, and Prince Harry, 32, with his late wife Princess Diana – continued his day with a visit to Fraserburgh to celebrate the bespoke vehicle company, Gray & Adam’s, 60th anniversary before he headed off to Portsoy in Scotland.
