The Farm returning for new series

‘The Farm’ is returning for a new series.
Channel 5 look set to reboot the original show – which saw celebrities such as Debbie McGee and Vanilla Ice live and work on a farm – with 10 new episodes on 5Star this year.
A TV source said: "Channel 5 is trying to distance the old show from this one but there will be a few viewers who tune in just to see if it’s similar. It’ll be a new ten-part series on 5Star this year."
Show bosses are said to be keen to sign up talent who are hard-working, "patient" and "resilient".
The source added to The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: "They’re hoping for some top names to do team and individual challenges to see who can most closely replicate the characteristics of the best farmers – patience, passion, resilience, adaptability and, most importantly, hard work.
"They’ll have to impress two of the UK’s top farmers to win the show."
The original show lasted for two series from 2004 to 2005, with Jeff Brazier crowned Top Farmer after season one, and Keith Harris and Orville the Duck scooped the title for the second run.
The first series became infamous for a scene involving David Beckham’s former PA Rebecca Loos having to "collect semen" from a pig.
Former Aston Villa footballer Stan Collymore, Debbie’s husband Paul Daniels – who has since passed away – and pop star Ritchie Neville were among the big names to appear in the first series.
Porn star Ron Jeremy, rapper Flavor Flav, dancer Lionel Blair and model Emma Noble starred in the second season.
