The Enemy announce farewell Last Orders Tour

The Enemy have announced details of their ‘Last Orders Tour’.
The indie rock band – comprised of Tom Clarke, Andy Watkins and Liam Watts – are to play six UK shows this September before calling time on their 10-year spanning career.
The trio kick off proceedings at the O2 Ritz in Manchester on Thursday 15 September and will end the tour at Glasgow’s O2 ABC on Monday 26 September.
The ‘Away From Here’ hitmakers will walk away from the music scene knowing that the band changed and "shaped" each of them and have asked their fans to keep their songs "alive for us forever".
A statement released by the band reads: "As we stand on stage for the last few times on this tour, I’ll be cherishing the last fleeting moments of a decade that has shaped who we all are, bands and fans alike. We all know what we’ll be sharing. Come, bring your hearts, bring your lungs and leave with our songs, take them onto the streets and into your lives and keep them alive for us forever".
Frontman Tom previously stated they are parting ways due to a lack of support from the media and radio airplay, while his own battle with depression has influenced their decision.
In a posting made on Facebook last week, he shared: "It’s with a heavy heart that I write … Ten years ago in 2006 my two best friends and I stepped into a rehearsal room and The Enemy was born. Over a decade we created four albums and toured them successfully around the world … the dates we are announcing in 2016 will be the last time we take to the stage as The Enemy, at least for the foreseeable future.
"There is without doubt less room for bands on the airwaves these days … our last record was … the best we made, but radio and the media couldn’t find a place for it despite unwaveringly strong ticket sales from a passionately devoted audience. Sadly funding and releasing records just isn’t possible without support and exposure from radio. This frustrates and saddens me in equal measure. While this is the main reason … health issues for myself and one of us becoming a proud father are amongst some of the others."

The Enemy’s ‘Last Orders Tour’ dates:

Thursday 15 September – O2 Ritz, Manchester
Friday 16 September – O2 Forum, Kentish Town
Saturday 17 September – The Empire, Coventry
Saturday 24 September – Newcastle, O2 Academy
Sunday 25 September – Leeds, O2 Academy
Monday 26 September – Glasgow, O2 ABC
