The Duke of Cambridge visits Helsinki airport

The Duke of Cambridge discussed "missions and tasks" with the pilots at Helsinki airport during his visit to Finland.
The 35-year-old royal took a trip to the airport where he met with Finnish aviators and spoke about the tasks at hand, as well as the "special training" the pilots receive, especially during the colder months.
And this stop off marked Prince William’s "final visit" while in the European country before jetting home to the UK.
During his visit, William – who has four-year-old son Prince George, two-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte and is expecting his third child with his wife the Duchess of Cambridge – also took a closer look at the aircrafts, as he previously flew as a rescue pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance for two years.
An image of William near the cockpit of a plane, which has been shared on Kensington Palace’s Official Instagram account, was captioned: "In the final visit of #RoyalVisitFinland, The Duke met Finnish Airport pilots at Helsinki Airport to learn more about their missions and tasks.
"The Duke spoke to pilots about the special training they receive to fly in the winter weather.
The Duke flew as a rescue pilot with East Anglian Air Ambulance from March 2015 until July 2017. (sic)."
Prior to visiting the airport William went to Esplanade Park with the Mayor of Helsinki to check out the Christmas markets.
And despite the wet weather William still had a smile on his face as he greeted locals in the area who flocked to see him.
Another image of William laughing with a crowd of people, which was shared on the photo-sharing site, read: "This afternoon, The Duke of Cambridge walked through Esplanade Park with The Mayor of Helsinki.
The Duke was greeted by some city locals during his visits to the famous Christmas markets.
#RoyalVisitFinland (sic)."
And William has thanked Finland for their "warm welcome" during his stay.
One final post read: "Hyvästi ja kiitos! Thank you Finland for such a warm welcome. (sic)."
