The Duchess of Cambridge’s mother has a crush on Roger Federer

The Duchess of Cambridge’s mother has a soft spot for Roger Federer.
The 35-year-old royal has admitted her 62-year-old parent, Carole, has a crush on the 35-year-old professional tennis player, and has hailed the sportsman as her ultimate "heartthrob".
Duchess Catherine, who is a patron of the All England Tennis Club, shared the news of her mother’s admirer in an all-tennis documentary titled ‘Sue Barker: Our Wimbledon’.
Speaking about her mother, who married her husband Michael Middleton in 1980, Catherine said: "I was really taken by [Andre] Agassi and [Pete] Sampras, [Goran] Ivanisevic and Steffi Graf. Those are my first memories. Roger [Federer] is my mother’s heartthrob."
But the brunette beauty – who has three-year-old son Prince George and two-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte with her husband the Duke of Cambridge – doesn’t think her mother will be annoyed her daughter spoke out about her crush.
Catherine – who was formerly known as Kate Middleton before she married Prince William – added: "I don’t think she will mind me saying that."
And Catherine believes Federer "probably knows" her mother has an affection for him.
Catherine said: "I think he probably knows that too."
However, Catherine’s mother is not her only parent to embarrass her with her comments about the players, as her father once mistook Tim Henman for Pete Sampras.
She explained: "Being able to go into Wimbledon and be part of an amazing atmosphere is special.
"My father is not going to appreciate this but we were walking past Tim Henman and had just seen Sampras play.
"My dad said ‘Hi Pete’. I was mortified."
‘Sue Barker: Our Wimbledon’ is set to hit TV screens on Sunday (02.07.17) on BBC1.
