The Chase confirms new spin-off for 2020

‘The Chase’ is getting a new spin-off for 2020.
The quiz masters from ITV’s hit show – Mark Labbett (The Beast), Jenny Ryan (The Vixen), Paul Sinha (The Sinnerman), Anne Hegerty (The Governess) and Shaun Wallace (The Dark Destroyer) – will be teaming up next year for a very special edition as all five champions appear at the same time.
Host Bradley Walsh said: "The contestants are brave facing one Chaser, let alone all five. With that group of top quizzing brains working as a team, it’s going to take some beating. But I can’t wait to see who’s going to take them on."
‘Beat the Chasers’ will air across one week rather than a full series, which suggests the broadcaster could be looking go see how the public reacts to the fresh take on programme.
Meanwhile, the exciting announcement comes after it was revealed bosses have signed up a new mastermind for the show, which turned a decade old in June.
Bradley previously said: "It’s accessible, people love it, it’s ten years old now.
"What can you say? We’ve got a brand new chaser coming in for another new series now. It’s all good."
And a spokesperson for the teatime programme added: "A new Chaser will be revealed in due course."
The show, which airs weekdays at 5pm, sees four strangers work together as a team to answer general knowledge questions on this quiz show in a bid to win as much cash as possible and not get caught out by their opponent, one of the Chasers.
